[ Guang Ying Shen ~ Is already regretting this... ]
Han continued to babble excitedly about all of the wonders about the mall and what kind of cute outfit she should get Shen. Shen was hardly paying attention to her coworker at this point, trying very hard to ignore the Song playing in her head. Usually she could ignore it or the visions of death associated with it, but it was becoming increasing difficult with how loud it was.
...Wait, it was getting louder?
Jerking her head up, Shen noticed Han was leading her towards a nice cake shop along the main concourse. She also noticed that the man she had locked eyes with was sitting there. Skeptically, she looked down at Han.
"Where are we going?"
"Getting food, silly!" Han laughed, giving a dismissive wave of her hand, "I'm starving, and cake sounds really good about now!"
Shen sighed and rubbed her temples. "You don't even like cake..."
To this, Han flushed. "H-how would you know that?"
"I was there when Su Lang got you that birthday cake, remember? And you proclaimed very dramatically about how much 'you hated cake and any western-style food' while throwing it in his face?" By now the pair were standing right outside the sitting area to the cake store, seemingly arguing with each other in rapid Chinese.
"W-well, I might have changed my tastes since then!" Han huffed, crossing her arms.
Shen didn't buy it. "You know that he did that to impress you, yet you still tossed it back at him." She, too, crossed her arms. "Why did you drag me here if you don't like cake?"
Han threw her arms up in the air, "Okay, fine! I just want you to talk to that guy who was staring at you, alright?! Sheesh!"
"No."
"Come on, Shen!" Han whined, "You're a young, attractive woman! This is the closest you've gotten to even first base, and it's high time you live a little!"
"I am not going over there."
Han huffed again, "Come on, please?! Having a boyfriend will do wonders for you!"
"I am perfectly content the way I am, Han." Shen stood her ground, her arms still crossed. "Besides, what would I say to him? I hardly speak any Japanese."
Han wailed again, flailing her arms over her head, still trying to argue her way towards her vapid goal of getting Shen together with a man she didn't know, speaking a language she also didn't know. But, she couldn't help but to wonder why the Song got louder the closer they got...

[[ Mavros Kalloni ]]
Mavros happily took Alexis' chuckle. It was wonderful to hear any sort of laugh from her. She had been so withdrawn in the past, even toward him. Rebirth seemed to have done wonders for her. In the time since their first meeting, Mavros had come to decide that there was no doubt about it: Alexis was his missing princess. Unfortunately, he still hadn't figured out how to make her realize that. Perhaps if there wasn't a need for his princess, he wouldn't be so concerned, but with news of strange events floating around, it couldn't hurt to make sure she was ready.
After a few moments, lost in thought, Mavros realized that Alexis had been talking to him. "Oh! Yes, this place," he said as he fell back into step with the conversation. "I've been here once while on a mission to expand my closet of scarves. There is no one store dedicated to scarves, but many types of stores have them. Aside from that, there are food shops and video game stores and I think I passed a pet store earlier in my mad dash to see you." He mussed his shaggy hair out of embarrassment, and then cast a side-ways look to her. "I am glad to see you, too, Alexis."

Alastor Vasilios - Something More Interesting
"No harm done." Alastor smiled at the younger man, then turned a glare on his older companions. "It is very rude to make fun of the young man like that. You should all be ashamed of yourselves."
She removed the second mitten, then stuffed both in her bag before quickly typing in her reply to the text from her roommate. As she returned the phone to her bag, she began thinking of ways to get back at the men for embarrassing their younger friend. "Oh Ares, stop that," she muttered softly. If she weren't in the middle of a very crowded mall, she might have let Ares out to do some damage. A few nosebleeds, phantom cuts, some painful, yet mysterious bruises always seemed to calm the Shade, but there were just too many people around and she had a schedule to keep.
She deliberately turned away from the area and started walking toward the nearest clothing store. She allowed her fingers to brush against the exposed hands of the people she passed, causing the skin she touched to increase in temperature. 'I don't think Mars is here, but surely there's something of more interest in this mall than the hideous clothing.'

{ Alexis Caldwell-Blakeney :: I think, perhaps, today will be a good day }
Alexis gave a happy little smile as Mavros told her he was glad to see her. Though she did not find herself harbouring any romantic thoughts towards him (until she could settle the matter of that person in her dreams, she wasn't going to think of anyone, she decided) Alexis felt oddly closer to him than she did with most people. Perhaps even as close as her friends back in England.
And that is most strange... Still, I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I suppose...
"Might I suggest perhaps we take a slow wander around?" She said. "Perhaps something will grab us on the way..."
Truth be told, Alexis had no interest in electronics stores, or indeed many of the stores traditional malls held. Nonetheless, she was certainly happy to spend the day walking around speaking with Mavros.

Meidono Sen - I Spy With My Little Eye...
Sen smiled at the waitress when she brought him his cake. It was a thick slice of strawberry shortcake, complete with fresh strawberries. He took a bite and felt himself instantly calm down. The sponge was light and fluffy and the flavor was amazing. It was sweet but not too sweet and he tasted strawberries in the cream. Good God, I haven't had cake this good in ages. I may have to come here more often. He heard the vague strains of Chinese and turned to the entrance. His gaki had all split up except for Kuma, who sat at a table nearby.
There she was.
Taking another bite of cake, Sen chewed thoughtfully and focused only on her. Something in his chest pulled, recognizing her as someone he knew, someone special, but he knew that couldn't be. They'd never met. He'd never seen her before today. He caught the tail end of their conversation though and smiled. Sen knew Chinese, mostly because of his grandfather's dealings with the Chinese mafia in Shinjuku so he was able to follow a little.
Let's see if they come over. He took a sip of coffee, his eyes still on the taller of the two women. I'm going to find out who you are and why you're so familiar.

[ Guang Ying Shen ~ Suddenly, I don't feel so-- ]
Han continued to rant on about how Shen needed a life, needed to come out of her shell, stop being a hermit, ect. One thing about the pint-sized woman was that she was damn persistent! She even tried to yank Shen into the cake shop, but the other woman was standing firm.
But Shen didn't hear any of it.
The Song in her head kept on getting louder and louder. She would occasionally say "no" or shake her head, but was becoming less and less focused on the one-sided conversation. Soon, everything was drowned out by it practically screaming to Shen; and it wasn't just the same Song she heard whenever Charon visited her in the past. No, something else was muddled in it, something bad...
Shen began to wobble a bit. The ball of her hand rested against her forehead and her resolve shook. "U-ugh..." She groaned, reaching out with her free hand groping for a doorway. She grasped it firmly, lowering her head down and clutching it.
Han stopped her rant instantly. "Shen! Shen, are you alright?"
Shen gritted her teeth and shook her head. "N-no, I--" She swallowed hard, starting to teeter a bit. The Song hadn't been this loud in a long time, and she could feel herself slipping. No! Get a hold of yourself! You can't lose control now...focus on your studies, your meditations! She tried to say, but her mind was quickly being drowned out by the screaming in her head.
Damnit, and she was doing so well, too...

Meidono Sen - And This is Why I AM A MA-YUN!
It was a good thing he'd been watching her (even if it could have bordered into the realm of creepy and Sen just didn't do creepy) because she started to wobble. A hand went to her head and he could hear her friend cry out, asking if she was all right. Abandoning his cake, Sen rose to his feet and strode to them with powerful strides.
"It's all right," he said in Chinese. "I've got her."
And he did. Murmuring an apology, Sen guided one of the woman's arms over his shoulder and helped her to one of the smaller tables. Kuma came over and he waved at him irritably before guiding her into a seat.
"Water, Kuma, now." The man scurried off and Sen turned back to her. "Miss, do you feel faint at all? Do you need us to call you an ambulance?"
He kept his voice perfectly calm and stayed back, giving her some space. A strange feeling resonated in him, as if it had always been that way. That there had been something keep them apart, forcing space between them. An image shot through his head and suddenly he had a splitting headache of his own. Chains, an altar, blue eyes that had depths just like his own, a longing he couldn't quite explain...
"Damn...maybe I'm going mad," he muttered and then smirked. "But it's a pleasant kind of madness I suppose."

[ Guang Ying Shen ~ It's Like the Fog Has Lifted ]
Shen's head was spinning. Everything was going on at ones; someone was guiding her away, and all she could feel was her head throbbing and the screaming in her mind. Now that the man was touching her, it only got louder. Somehow she ended up at a table, quickly placing her elbows on it and burying her face in her hands.
Calm breathing. Don't focus on the Song, focus on your medications. Clear your mind. Say the mantra. Pray to Buddha. But even though she was calming her nerves down a bit, the Song just wouldn't shut the hell up.
Until he spoke.
Although Shen feigned that she didn't speak a lick of Japanese, she understood what he said perfectly. The calm breathing stopped as her breath caught in her throat, lifting her head up from her hands and looking down at him. Shen met his gaze, looking into those intense, dark eyes.
And the Song quieted.
Shen's lips parted, unable to take her eyes away from his. Her breath picked up, her eyes going wide. Those words...Charon had said those words to her that day she woke up. And those eyes - they were just like hers; and so was the Song. But...Charon was a woman before! And the hair color was wrong! But the face looked very similar to hers, despite being more masculine...
Could it be...?
Shen closed her mouth and swallowed, forcing a weak smile. "T-thank you--I-I mean..." She hadn't noticed he spoke Chinese. "A-h-REE-geh-TO-U." She said very slowly and horrifically mispronounced with Chinese inflection.

[[ Mavros Kalloni ]]
Their aimless wander began, slow and meandering. Mavros really didn't have any one store in mind for a destination. He was more-so glancing at the displays in the clothing and sport stores, watching for their winter apparel. The first two stores had winter apparel displayed, but it was predominantly women's and the two male mannequins had no scarves.
"It seems, perhaps, that scarves are not in fashion for this year's cold season," Mavros lamented. He pulled off his gloves, having forgotten their presence, and stuffed them in his pocket. It was the wrong pocket, however, and his ring caught on frayed thread in the pocket's lining. He untangled himself quickly so as to not fall behind. "Does anything yet catch your fancy?"

Meidono Sen - Damn That's Cute
He pulled himself out of his little daydream when the woman started saying something in Chinese. It took a moment for him to run his inner translator but he understood she was thanking him. ...Then she tried speaking Japanese. Poorly. Yet instead of being annoying, it was rather endearing to him and Sen smiled before replying in Chinese.
"There is no need to strain yourself. I am not fluent in your language but I can speak...somewhat." Although he'd never had formal lessons, his grandfather had taught him anyway as a way to eavesdrop on unsuspecting rivals. "Are you injured? Do you feel like you need a doctor?"
He stayed in his kneeling position, not wanting to startle her or make her have a relapse or something. Sen also signaled discreetly to Kuma who disappeared and then reappeared with two bottles of water, one for each of the young ladies. As Kuma handed one to the woman's friend, he accepted the one for her.
"Here. This might help."
Valencia Buchanen - Hello Old Friend...
She could feel it. The forces of power in this mall were gathering closer. There were many of their old foes here but she did not sense Uranus among them. Still, there was a power that concerned her. It felt...ancient. The only other time she'd felt this sort of power was when Selenity had wielded the Ginzuishou, yet it didn't feel like that perverted rock at all. Then she got a sense. A bit of power was being used, power that was at once familiar and yet foreign. She traced it to its source, hands in her coat pockets, until she was behind a rather fluffily-dressed young woman.
"Hello Ares," she murmured, keeping her voice low. "It's been quite a while yet I see you are still up to your antics."
Valencia Buchanen left it at that, waiting for the woman to either accuse her of being insane (which was unlikely) or confront her (more likely, but less likely to get messy, after all they were in a public domain). Her short, silver hair gleamed under the high-voltage lights and reflected in her black sunglasses. Although she spoke proficient Japanese, her voice carried an American accent, but it also held a deep, lilting quality that just demanded listening to.

[ Guang Ying Shen ~ Saturn Senses...Tingling! ]
Shen couldn't look away from those eyes. It was just like before, when she met Charon for the first time. No, she was sure of it; this man had to be Charon! Who was to say what would happen during the rebirth process? Perhaps sometimes gender got changed.
I had sworn I would find you in this new life...and now, perhaps things will be different.
Somehow, Shen didn't seem shocked that he knew Chinese. She managed a forced and rather pathetic smile up at him. "N-No, I think...I just need a moment to rest..." She gratefully took the water from him, taking a swig.
Han, meanwhile, was almost bursting from her skin at the fact that he knew Chinese, but knew better then to shout 'I told you so!' to Shen. "Shen, I'll be outside whenever you feel better!" She informed, slinking out of the cafe to allow the two some 'alone time.'
Shen was almost sure her nerves were calming, but then another pang shot through her body. It wasn't the Song this time...this time, she saw death. Not anyone surrounding her, but innocents within the mall. Pulling her eyes away from the man, she looked over her shoulder and towards the mall itself. Something was going to happen...and soon. Her hands clutched the water bottle so tight it nearly crushed, before abruptly rising.
"I need to go." She said, but wobbled a bit upon standing.

Alastor Vasilios - Cotton candy bunny rabbit
No big reactions so far. Maybe her own hands were too cold to get much of a reaction from these people. Or maybe they were just too busy to pay attention to anything small. Or maybe-
"Hello Ares."
Alastor jumped when she heard the voice, she couldn't help it. There were only nine people in the universe who knew that name and as far as she knew, none of them were in Tokyo. She wasn't even sure they were alive. And now one of them was standing behind her at this very moment, demanding her attention. The pink and green-haired woman turned to face the woman behind her. "Ouranos." She smiled at the other woman and allowed herself to relax a little. Ouranos still scared her, but not as much as Nemesis.
"It's been quite a while yet I see you are still up to your antics."
"I see no need to change my methods. They still work," she replied softly. 'Too well, apparently.' She had lost most of her own accent during her first year in Japan, but there were still traces of it when her nerves got the better of her. Like they were trying to do now. She pulled the sleeves of her sweater down to cover her hands, feeling a little guilty for being caught using her powers. She then glanced around the mall to make sure no one was listening to them and that there were no more of her former colleagues around. One at a time was more than enough for her. "How have you been? It's been ages since I've seen you."

Meidono Sen - Wait, huh?
Everything had been going so well. The woman was fine and she was responding well. She didn't seem to be sick or in need of an ambulance. Sen waved Kuma away to go look after her friend and then settled in the chair across from her. He was about to ask her a few more questions when she suddenly rose and announced she had to go. Sen also got to his feet and held out an arm to steady her.
"It would be remiss of me to let you go alone. At least let me be the gentleman and walk you out."
He gave her his most charming smile and extended his arm to her. Although Sen knew he was a flirt and a womanizer, there was something about this one that made him sit up and take notice. Maybe it's just because she's taller than me...ah well.
"My name is Sen if you were wondering."
Valencia Buchanen - Mmmm, Indeed
Valencia couldn't help the smirk that crossed her features when she was recognized. Really recognized. It felt satisfying after a fashion. She glanced around to be sure they weren't drawing too much attention and moved in closer so she could speak with the other woman without anyone overhearing.
"I've been, I suppose. I was surprised to find such a large concentration of power here. It's a shame I was reborn in America, I could have been tracking down Uranus far sooner." She removed her glasses, revealing her dark blue eyes with their distinctive rims. "And yourself? Have you managed to make contact with any of our other allies?"

{ Alexis Caldwell-Blakeney :: I must knit Mavros a scarf... }
Alexis could count the number of times she had visited a mall on one hand. It was partially interesting, but mostly a little alarming; Alexis had no idea it was that socially acceptable to wander around wearing such tiny skirts...
And in such cold weather, too!
Still, she was most happy that everything was perfectly normal. Everything made sense, and there were no strange women whose clothing and behaviour changed seemingly at random, no odd occurrences that were so much like the nightmares that plagued her sleep...
"It seems, perhaps, that scarves are not in fashion for this year's cold season...Does anything yet catch your fancy?"
Alexis brought herself firmly back to the present, and her company, and gave a half-smile.
"I am afraid I must admit to being entirely out of my depth," she said, then smiled properly. "However, I can say that I am sure I can find a scarf to add to your collection."
A commotion over to the right caused her to look over, brows drawn in consternation, her body tensing. Seeing it was just a group of people apparently leaving a bakery of some sort, Alexis looked away, though she was still tense.

[[ Mavros Kalloni ]]
"However, I can say that I am sure I can find a scarf to add to your collection."
Mavros grinned. Most people (Well, all of them really) don't understand his obsession with scarves and so take no interest or make snide remarks. It was nice to have someone take some amount of interest in and be sincere about it.
"Any scarf you choose would be a wonderful addition," he praised. Then, he felt like he was glowing a bit too much and quickly added, "Of course, I mean, your sense of style is so sensible, I mean, practical, and you have great tastes. In clothes! And..." He coughed and glanced away, eyeing a window display for a jewelry store while his tongue tried to work out its knots.
((OOC: This post was so hard. I literally didn't know what to say. O__O))
