Age: 18
Gender: Female

[ Appearances ]
Hair: Nyoko has dark violet (#4F2F4F) hair that when straightened falls to her hips. It is naturally curly and tends to frizz unless she spends a lot of time on it. Normally she doesn't see the point in spending so much time on her hair, so she will pull it back into a braid that reaches to her waist. Her bangs fall to her nose and she does take the time to use a flat iron on them to keep them straight because it's easier to hide behind them.
Face & Eyes: She has a diamond-shaped face, giving her wide cheek bones, a pointed chin and a high hairline. Her nose is thin, making it difficult for glasses to stay on her face, which is the main reason she wears contacts. She wears colored contacts to change the color of her eyes from pale green (#DBE6E0 - 'Moon') to a bright brown. She has fair skin, which combined with her height leads most people to assume she isn't really Japanese at all. She has bags under her eyes constantly, even though she sleeps more than eight hours a night, thin eyebrows and long eyelashes which have never seen mascara. The most make-up she has ever worn is colored lip gloss. She has pierced ears and a pierced tongue (a present from her older brother for her 18th birthday).
Body Type: The women of Nyoko's family have never been 'dainty' and she is no exception. At an even 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds (72.5 kg), Nyoko is easy to pick out of a crowd. Years of playing volleyball competitively has given her arms and legs good muscle tone, but too many relatives around during the off-season has given her a few extra curves she has yet to work off. For her 18th birthday, her older sister talked her into getting a tattoo. She had it placed on her left thigh where it would be hidden from her parents. She isn't sure what inspired the design, a crescent moon tilted so that it almost formed the letter 'C', with the rays of the sun sticking out behind it, over a planet with a ring around it. The design is only a black outline currently. She's trying to work up the nerve to go back and have it finished (colors & planet detail added).
Clothing Style: Nyoko's wardrobe consists of a lot of gray. Not because she likes it, but because she has trouble finding colors that work well with her skin tone and hair color. She absolutely refuses to wear green yellow or orange shirts, in any shade and burned everything brown she owned once she got out of high school. She also refuses to wear white or black shirts as they both make her look paler than usual. She likes denim jeans, in faded black and dark blue. She will wear skirts if she can find one that actually fits her and doesn't show too much of her legs. She wears a pair of black slip-on shoes that have a black ribbon threaded through holes all the way around and a black bow on the toes, year round. The only way to make her stop wearing them is to hide them, though she will always find them eventually. Or just buy a new pair.
[ Don't Turn Away ]
[ A Look Deeper ]
Personality: Nyoko has a hard time talking to strangers and doesn't open up to people until she's known them for a while. Most of her teammates in high school didn't even know she had siblings until their second year even though they spent several hours practising together every week. She loves to talk, but generally not about anything important. At least not what she considers important. She can talk for hours, just like every other teenage girl, about her favorite bands, favorite actors, current TV shows, etc. But if the conversation takes a more serious turn, especially to something like family, she will immediately change the subject. To some, this makes her appear flightly, but for Nyoko it is an ingrained desire to protect them. She has only recently begun to understand what she has to protect them from, but the desire has always been there.
As her dreams have gotten darker, so has the feeling that she's constantly being watched. On some level, she knows that it's just her 'other self' being paranoid, but she would much rather be safe than sorry. When in a large group, she prefers to keep people she doesn't know in front of her at all times so that she would have a greater chance at being able to deflect any attack thrown her way. She is mildly obsessive about making sure her doors and windows are locked, especially now that she's on her own. She has considered asking her landlady if she can put iron bars on the windows, but doesn't want to draw any unnecessary attention to herself.
The only time Nyoko ever truly feels comfortable is around her oldest friends and family. This is the only time she feels she can truly relax. As long as her sister isn't plotting something, that is. Nyoko absolutely adores her older sister and will let the older woman talk her into anything (like the tattoo). She just can't seem to say no to her.
Strengths: Physical strength; Fast runner; Good hand-eye coordination; Team player;
Weaknesses: Bookworm; Has trouble leading; Isn't comfortable in her own body; Talks too much (especially when nervous); Paranoid
Dreams: Nyoko wants to be police officer like her father, not that she's told anyone. They think she wants to become a professional athlete.
Fears: Failing at anything, whether it be school or missing a shot on the court; Spiders; Becoming a housewife;

[ Present History ]
The Igarashi family thought they were done having children after the birth of their twins, Ran (F) & Ren (M). Having given away all of the baby clothes, furniture, even the twins' old toys years before, the parents of the twin ten year olds were quite surprised when they learned they were expecting again. Nyoko was born on the night of a blue moon, barely a month after her father, Rui, was shot in the line of duty.
The twins soon fell into the role of caregivers to baby Nyoko while their mother, Yurie, went to work for the first time in her life to support the family. Rui returned to the force a few weeks later, but due to his injuries was limited to a desk job. With the cut in pay and the medical bills piling up, both parents soon agreed that it was in the children's best interest for the whole family to move in with Yurie's mother, Urara, in Tokyo.
Nyoko's grandmother was raised in a very strict household and had raised her daughter the same way. But when it came to her grandchildren, Urara let them get away with everything. That changed, however, when Nyoko was 12 and her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. Nyoko watched the happy, vibrant woman she had always known turn into a frail old lady almost overnight. The night her grandmother died was the first night she dreamed of the Moon Kingdom. And it was the first time she heard the name 'Sailor Moon'.
Ignoring her dreams as her own mind's way of coping, she focused her waking mind on her studies and began looking for any reason not to go home after school. One of her friends suggested trying out for volleyball. Nyoko was instantly hooked. She began playing every chance she could and quickly forgot about the strange dreams. At least until recently. In the last few weeks, her dreams have taken a much darker turn, especially during a full moon.
She began to realize that this name she kept hearing, Sailor Moon, was her and that the war wasn't entirely in her past. She spent most of high school looking over her shoulder, wandering where the Shades from her nightmares were hiding. She graduated near the top of her class with no sign of anything or anyone hiding in the shadows preparing to leap out at her.
With help from both her parents and her older siblings, she has moved into an apartment of her own that is closer to the school she is going to attend and to the gym where she trains. Since the apartments are usually rented to older college kids, Nyoko often finds herself being smothered by the landlady.

Uniform Description:
Head - Standard tiara in black metal with a teardrop Amaranth colored stone. The top layer of her hair is pulled back into a high ponytail, with the rest left loose to her waist. Her curls are sharply defined and constantly look as though she just stepped out of the salon. Her bangs are also loose to frame her face.
Neck - Amaranth colored collar, edged in black with Amethyst crescent moons embroidered in the back corners. A large, black, solid metal bib necklace sits over the collar and runs up nearly to her chin. At the base of her throat is a crescent moon in Amaranth red with a teardrop Amethyst sitting between the points.
Torso - Amaranth (dark reddish-pink) colored leather strapless dress that goes from her chest to mid-thigh. It is held in place by her armor made of black metal with raised filigree designs that never seem to form the same way twice. The armor is fastened to her body with three black straps. The first strap is just under her breasts, holding the top of the armor. The second strap goes around her waist, drawing the armor in to make her appear smaller than in her civilian form. The third strap is on her hips, holding the dress, which is split up both sides, closed.
Arms - Moon wears armor covering both arms from her elbows to the last joint of her fingers. Each arm has a black couter (elbow covering) made of the same metal as that covering her torso, with a similar filigree design. The forearms are covered with vambraces made of woven Amaranth leather similar to her dress. There are two layers of woven leather, between which her crystal spikes (see weapon) rest. Each brace is held on by four straps around her arm, leaving the inner part of each arm uncovered. Her gloves are of similar red leather with straps around the wrist and at the base of her fingers. She also has black jointed rings running up each finger. Her thumbs and palms are bare.
Legs - She wears Amaranth colored high-heeled leather boots that come up a few inches above her knee. Her thighs are covered in the same black metal as her torso, edged with an inch-wide Amethyst strap at the top, mid-thigh, and bottom, just above her knee, under the leather boots. Total height in boots - 6' 4".
Weapon: Miakoda ('Power of the Moon') - Miakoda is the name given to a set of crystal spikes wielded by Sailor Moon. The spikes are made of clear crystal, are each 1 feet in length and go from a 1 inch diameter at the base to a paper-thin point. They can be used as daggers or as thrown weapons. The spikes are worn between the layers of woven leather on her arms, five on each arm (three toward her wrists, two with the bases going toward the elbow).
Lunae Lumen (Moonlight)
Lunula (Little Crescent)
Plenilunium Laborans (Full Moon Eclipse)
Battle Style: Moon prefers to hide in the shadows and fire off her attacks rather than face the enemy head on. Which isn't easy since her attacks will give her away almost every time. So she prefers to rely on her spikes rather than her magic.
Warrior Personality: Sailor Moon is a paranoid Nyoko times ten. She is constantly looking over her shoulder for any sign of the Shades. She refuses to use her powers unless necessary, afraid that someone will be able to track her. She feels that their defeat in the Silver Millennium was entirely her fault and that if she hadn't abandoned the others to go free Saturn that, with her help, they would have been able to defeat the Shades. Because of this, she is terrified of being reunited with her senshi, even though she longs to be with her friends again. She would prefer to face the Shades on her own so that the senshi never had to fight again.
Passive Abilities: As both - Any time the moon is visible in the sky, Nyoko can sense where her senshi are. This works better on the senshi she was closest to (Earth, Uranus, Solaris), but can be used to find anyone that had ties to the Moon Kingdom. Unfortunately, to use it requires that she allow her mind to completely relax and detach itself from her body. This puts her in extreme danger, as she is totally unaware of her surroundings, so she has only actively tried it once.
As only Sailor Moon - When transformed, she can see who the other senshi are, even if they are not transformed. She does not know if this ability would work on the Shades or not.
As both - She has the ability to heal minor wounds on others and slightly larger ones on herself. She only discovered this after a particularly nasty hit during a championship game. Stronger when she is transformed, will be able to heal larger wounds once she has the Ginzuishou.
[ It Ends Here Tonight ]
[ The Story of the Past ]
For generations, the daughters of the moon were raised to rule. Each one learned at the side of her mother, just as she would one day teach her daughter. And the first thing each was taught were three rules: 1) Never allow the Ginzuishou to become damaged; 2) Never, ever, release Saturn; 3) Never allow yourself to fall for one of the senshi. The princess of the Silver Millennium grew up happily, never knowing that she would be the one to break all three of those rules.
Almost as she could stand, her training began. She spent years training with her mother's courtiers, perfecting her attacks before she ever truly had the power to use them. Her senshi were off training on their own worlds most of the time and the young princess was quickly growing stronger than the aging courtiers who were training her. She found herself growing lonely, spending many hours staring down at the beautiful blue planet below where her closest companion, aside from Artemis, lived. Her mother had told her stories of the bonds shared by past princesses of the Earth and it's Moon and while to the older woman they were stories filled with happiness, to the young princess Selenity, they were stories filled with sadness. The other princesses would come for a visit and then leave, always leaving Selenity behind. The loneliness was lessened when her own guardian, Artemis, appeared, but did not go away.
Selenity wanted the senshi to come and go as they pleased, she just wished that she could go with them sometimes. She wished she could see their worlds, not just hear stories about them. But her destiny was to always remain on the moon. When her warriors did come to visit her, she was ecstatic to see them, which led some of the more reserved members of her mother's court to question her reasons. Earth, Uranus & Solaris were her closest companions and were the ones most often found on the moon. Things were always better when another princess was around. She had someone she could train with who she didn't have to fear harming. Plus she enjoyed having someone her own age to talk to. Her mother silenced the members of her court. She knew the young princess would never break the rules. And besides, she was too young.
But then, she wasn't. The younger Selenity quickly grew into a young woman, a mirror image of her mother and of every Selenity before her. Her powers grew too. She became a warrior worthy of her mother and was shown how to use the Ginzuishou. She knew that she would be a queen her senshi could be proud of. If she could just convince her heart not to break Rule #3. She wasn't sure when it had happened, but she had fallen for one of her own. And someone knew. Rumors began to spread faster than she or the queen could silence them. Earth's guardian forbade her from visiting alone now and cut her visits down to only necessary trips. Similar moves were made by the guardians of Uranus and Solaris to protect the reputations of their princesses.
Betrayed by her own heart, the young Selenity tried to focus on her training. Artemis continued to push her, but the constant whispers behind her back and the sneaky glances were getting to her. She shut the others out, retreating into her own chambers and trying to make her heart understand what her head already knew. To fall in love with one of the others was dangerous. For all of them.
It took a tragedy to drive that fact home, though.
The victim was someone Selenity barely knew, but her death still rocked the kingdom. Selenity's self-imposed isolation soon became mandatory while the rest of the court tried to find her killer. It was only after the other senshi arrived that it was deemed safe enough to let Selenity out. Her joy at being reunited with her senshi was short-lived however, as word reached the moon that Saturn has woken. Everyone was on high alert. They knew their peace had been shattered and the young princess couldn't help but think that it was her fault. She had allowed herself to fall in love with one of her senshi and now they were all suffering for it.
The appearance of the new senshi wasn't as much of a surprise to the princess as it was to some of the others. She hadn't known what form their enemy would take, but she had known they were coming. The new senshi devastated the combined forces of the Silver Millennium. They barely had time to regroup from one attack when another would be launched. It was only a matter of time before the princess would be forced to watch her senshi fall. Before she would be forced to watch those she loved destroyed. Unable to face that future, Selenity took the Ginzuishou and left the moon. She did not even look back at Uranus' voice.
It didn't take long to reach the chamber where Saturn was being held, but it felt like an eternity. She saw the woman hanging in the chains and was taken back by the woman's appearance. This did not appear to be the horrible monster she had been raised to fear. Using the Ginzuishou to break the chains, she begged the older woman for her help. It took less time to make it back to the moon than it had to reach Saturn, but they were still too late. All her senshi had been killed as had some of the Shades. Rule #2 had been broken for nothing.
Before she could process everything that had happened, a new Shade appeared. Sailor Nemesis was vicious, and she and Saturn were hesitant to use the full extent of their powers. Saturn for some unknown reason and Selenity because she was truly scared of her own power. She was growing tired of fighting, but the other two seemed unphased. She didn't understand how they could keep it up. She tripped over a stray weapon and lost hold of the Ginzuishou. She scrambled to retrieve it, only to see Nemesis' foot catch it.
"This is what you get for playing God."
Nemesis' voice echoed in her head as she watched the Shade's foot crack the crystal. Rule #1 was broken. That had barely registered when Saturn's voice reached her ears. She glared at Nemesis, letting the other woman's face be burned into her memory as her kingdom fell around her. She would make sure that Nemesis paid for this, no matter how many lives it took.

- Sequence: Sailor Moon pulls one of the spikes from it's holder and whispers 'Lunae Lumen'. The spike begins to glow softly in her hand, then quickly intensifies in brightness. She then throws the spike toward her opponent.
- Effect: Once the spike hits the ground, it releases a flash of light the brightness of a full moon. Has no real effect on opponents, unless they are sensitive to light, but will temporarily boost the powers of those aligned to the moon. Also causes the affected area, up to one city block, to be illuminated for a few minutes. Can be repeated as many times as needed, provided she can retrieve the spikes.
Lunula (Little Crescent)
- Sequence: Holding two fingers to the crescent moon symbol at the base of her throat, Sailor Moon calls out 'Lunula' and for a moment, nothing happens. She then begins to glow brightly as if she were the moon itself. Moving her fingers from her throat to above her head, the glow moves from her entire body to the tips of her fingers, or into a spike if she is holding one. She can then fire the energy at her target, or throw the charged spike at them.
- Effect: The energy she has gathered can cut through youma, destroying weaker ones easily. If it hits a human, the damage it does depends on that person's own inner darkness. If it were to hit one of the Shades' minions, for example, it would cause minor damage. If it were to hit a Shade directly, the damage would be greater. If it were to hit one of her own senshi, their Guardians or an innocent civilian, it would do nothing. Non-innocent civilians, on the other hand, would suffer the same damage as a minion.
Plenilunium Laborans (Full Moon Eclipse)
- Sequence: Holding her hands in front of her, palms up, she calls out 'Plenilunium'. A ball of light begins to form above her palms and will continue to grow the longer until she says 'Laborans'. The ball of light then goes dark, falls through her hands and into the ground. The ground around her feet starts to glow. The light stretches out from her feet toward all of the living beings around her, stopping just short of actually touching them. It then shoots out of the ground, striking everyone and everything in it's path.
- Effect: When the energy shoots out of the ground, it does so at a very high rate of speed, making it very difficult to get out of the way. The actual effect it has on people differs from burns to grievous bodily harm, but everyone it strikes will be injured. She has no control over what the outcome will be as she has very little control on where the energy goes. She tries to direct it more toward her enemies, but can not focus it without the Ginzuishou. This attack will strike foe, friend and bystander equally. She does not use this attack unless she has no choice. Without the Ginzuishou, this attack is barely stronger than Lunula, but requires so much power that it would leave Moon unable to fight.
