Name Meaning: A Myrtles Tenderness
Nick Name: Shibi (another reading of her last name)
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bi-sexual
[ Sweet Ruptured Light ]
[ Appearances ]
Hair: A pale brown with carefully placed blonde streaks pulled through it, Yuuno's hair is a mane of care and dedication. She adores her hair and puts a great deal of love into how it's treated, rarely subjecting it to heating tools unless absolutely necessary (even she's prone to bad hair days). Her fringe is a straight mess swept from right to left as tendrils curl in front of her ears, whilst the rest of her hair is left to fall and gather around her collarbone in a mass of weighty folds.
Face & Eyes: Short eyebrows often give Yuunos almond brown eyes a startled expression, and her eyes are subtely wide-set against her face, but her hair directs you attention away from that, somehow making it suit the wideness of her face and the strange strength of her jaw.
Body Type: 5"4, Yuuno has a pretty standard asian figure, small bust, small hips, seriously nothing typically special. Could perhaps be considered pudgy but she's not one to let that get her down.
Clothing Style: She's all about comfy attire, but in a tasteful way. She's a fan of particularly plain clothing, often voting for skinny jeans, tank top and a nice baggy cardigan. She's a fiend when it comes to shoes though, and always knows how to use them to perfect even the most basic of outfits.

[ A Look Deeper ]
Personality: The only thing people really remember when they first meet Shibi are her blonde highlights; a feign attempt at a subtle rebellion against the Japanese norm. A seemingly uneventful first encounter, another quiet girl on the street, but that's not always the case. Shibi has the ability to instill a seed, not in everyone, but in some, a seed of curiosity. A "Who was that girl?" eventuality that gnaws away until their second meeting.
From her demeanor, the way she stands, moves, plays with her hands, Yuuno comes across as a rather demure, shy young woman. At a stand still, lots of small motions give her something of a mouse-like quality, but the way she walks is reminiscent of a cat, a sway of her hips being enough to captivate and draw the attention from her somewhat quiet exterior. A little spark that catches you off guard during an uneventful conversation. This girl was made for motion.
It's this flicker that helps her make friends, and with people she comes to know and be comfortable around, Yuuno is much more outgoing and easy to keep a conversation flowing with. Almost a different person. She's clearly fiercly loyal of anyone she chooses and can be very doting should the need arise. She's someone that will pick you up from the airport at 3am and not hold it against you too much.
Yuuno isn't all hearts and rainbows though. She can have a mean passive aggressive streak, and isn't afraid to pick a fight and speak her mind when feeling up to it, naturally catching alot of people off guard. She's prone to acting like a lad in a fight, not taking shit from anyone, and isn't afraid to let her fists get involved. The worst part for many however is that pushing her to frustration can also push her to tears, meaning she has perhaps up to 5 minutes of tearless screaming to use up before the waterworks inadvertantly start, and you're left with a quibbling Shibi to calm down.
Strengths: Girl-next-door charm, fierce loyalty, tae-kwon do, physically strong.
Weaknesses: Ex-smoker, inability to hold back tears, prone to emotional extremes, apathy to her senshi duty, stamina, food.
Dreams: Not so much normality, but Yuuno wants to travel, see the sights and then settle down with a high-earning gentleman.
Fears: Dying as a Sailor Senshi. Shibi's aware of her duty, but that's not to say that's what she wanted in the first place. Whilst she's happy to protect the ones she loves and is close to, dying over a life she barely remembers just feels unjust to her.
[ Candy Clouds of Lullaby ]
[ Present History ]
Yuuno is a very nostalgic person, spending alot of her time reminiscing on moments past. Nobody can say she doesn't have the perfect job in this respect, working in an antiques shop. Yuuno packed up her old life in Osaka, leaving behind dear friends and what little family she has, on the hunt for a worthy gentlemen to sweep her off her feet, convinced that the slapstick, sports fanatics in her hometown weren't enough. But she still misses it, the food was certainly better at least.
She never tried college, convinced to drop out of high school at the earliest opportunity and settle down by her first love, Hiroshi. Looking back, she regrets it, and naturally wishes she'd taken her fathers advice to begin with. Hiroshi was bad news, a misogynistic, serial cheat who was playing Yuuno as the dowdy housewife in order to get away with doing as little as possible in life. However hindsight's always 20/20, and he played a major part in her decision to move.
Leaving her father was the hardest thing, since her mother passed away at a young age, it was up to him to raise her, often paving the way for her tomboyish tendencies (she was occasionally caught up in school yard fights as a child). He had a difficult job, and she admits that she didn't make it easy for him. He drove her to take tae-kwon-do lessons when she turned 12 to try and teach her some discipline, and arguably was one of the best decisions he'd ever made. She's continued to take them ever since.
It wasn't until she moved to Tokyo that Yuuno's knowledge of her past awakened for her, but it was a blur. A big, fat, frustrating blur. Stirring her sleep and randomly interrupting her daily life, she grew irrate at her inability to understand what was gong on. She daren't go to see a psychiatrist, and pinned it down on the stress of moving, but even after months of settling in, they kept coming.
It was after her first transformation that these visions began to make some sense. Yuuno was crying in the ladies cubicle of a night club after exploding on a guy who would not take no for an answer, when out of the blue, she was enveloped in a sheet of white light. She felt her body lighten as the clothes she was wearing evaporated to nothing, before a heavier weight fell on her with what looked like a Sailor Fuku. She remember her name, Sailor Venus and it took all of her energy not to scream in rage.
"Is this what those visions were about?" Moving away from everything she knew and loved was difficult enough, but this pushed her over the edge so, still in her uniform, Yuuno/Venus fled the club and wandered back to her apartment block. Enough was enough. She ignored the elevator and, choosing the stairs, slowly drifted up each flight, her feet lightly tapping the cement flooring of every open corridor. She reached her apartment door and stopped for a moment, then continued walking, higher and higher until she made it to the roof. She thought she'd made up her mind once she'd walked past her front door, but what she saw on the roof changed it.
Another girl she barely knew, but recognised as her neighbour, Fujioka-san, was leaning against the railing with the same seemingly shakeless resolve Yuuno had climbed the stairs with just moments ago. Without dialogue or sound, Yuuno moved closer. She stirred no suspicion, she couldn't even be heard, and with the softness of mist she wrapped her arms around Fujioka, placing a hand on her chest and breathing deeply, Venus reminded the girl of what it meant to be happy, before leading her away from the edge of the building.
The two share a wordless bond, neither are willing to talk about what happened on that roof, but Yuuno has taken it as a sign that being Sailor Venus isn't the worst thing in the world, even though she's still trying to piece together her forgotten history.

Uniform Description: From her head to her toes...
Being careful not to mess with her bangs, a hot pink headband perches carefully behind her ears, on the left side of it sits a fresh, somewhat oversized flower of the Crape Myrtle, a delicate petal that gradients from white on the inside to pink. Beneath this sits the stitching to a length of white silk that cascades down beside her face, stretching to match the length of her hair which at the same time obscures a cosmic latte band choker at the base of her neck.
Venus' collar rests on her shoulders, a shimmering satin sheen gold in colour with a solitary white strip running along its edge. This collar, instead of being square, falls in a point towards her lower back whilst at the front it is cut short of meeting at another point by a long rectangular piece of cosmic latte coloured fabric that crosses the top of her bust. A curved piece of floral white fabric sits between the point of her collar.
The bodice of her fuku is a long piece of floral white fabric that covers her front and her back, but not her sides, much like a tabard. This fabric ends in a point on both sides at her thigh like petals, and down the center runs a light pink piece filling the middle that joins the point at the bottom, adorned with intricate hot pink swirls. This bodice is held in place by a series of three cosmic latte coloured ribbons, the first resting directly under her breasts. This pulls tightly around her ribs and is tied in a loose bow high on her back, partly obscured by the collar, with long stretches of fabric falling from it to behind her knees. The other two ribbons are on either side, criss crossing beneath the tabbard until they finally twist and tuck into a pointed golden ornament made up of a heart, a sphere and a sharp cone, both barely reaching her knees.
Beneath the tabard Venus wears a 'satin sheen gold,' tightly pleated dress, that puffs out slightly around her thighs past the constraints of the cosmic latter ribbons. This dress brushes her midthigh.
Fingers and Toes
Venus' arms and legs are bare (less is more), whilst on her feet she wears a plain pair of hot pink flats. On the toes of her shoes are small flowers to match the flower on her headband.
Old (innacurate) Reference
Weapon: The Morning Star
As Venus' realm of influence rests in a non-elemental power, she partly utilises it to form her weapon, the Morning Star. A gauntlet of sorts that she wears on her right forearm, wisps of gold curl up and down her arm and into her palm, a downwards facing crescent moon with two featured plumes sits high on her forearm, with a large clear dome sitting at its center and smaller golden domes curving around her wrist. A golden mist can be seen swirling within it, constantly shifting.
From this larger dome sits her power to create and weild this weapon, a shielf and blade, turned solid by her ability to focus her energy into a physical form. This blade flickers into life by will alone and stretches 4 inches past her extended fingers, whilst her shield is a thin dome like sheet of golden energy that constantly levitates above her forearm.
If the largest, golden dome of her arm is broken, she loses her ability to use The Morning Star until she has rested and re-transformed. If she has to re-transform too soon, it will remain broken (usually 2-3 nights rest will regenerate it).
Venus Victrix
Broken Heart Syndrome
Battle Style: Venus is a fierce hand to hand combatant, using her abilities from tae-kwon do to her advantage. She's always up for finishing a battle early, and though she may have the drive, she lacks the stamina to keep up a prolonged fight. Her will is stronger than her body.
Warrior Personality: Venus is 'less tear-prone, more no-nonsense' than her civilian counter part, and once transformed, is not one to turn away from a fight. She's always on the offensive and doesn't make a great defender, but she will jump to the defense to any one of her comrades that's taking a beating.
Passive Abilities: Ganbare! - Think of the bard in any rpg, that's Venus/Shibi (more so after transformation). Venus has a real 'ganbaru' charm about her on the battlefield, driving everyone around her to try their best and gifting them with a slightly noticeable boost to their power level in a fight. Shibi's a little lesser than this, usually able to instill a sense of calm, quash pre-exam/new job jitters and such.
Dokidoki - This is a slightly stronger ability that requires some attention on her part, Shibi is more prone to using this than Venus as a means of avoiding the need to transform. By pointing two fingers directly on someones chest (above the heart) she can manipulate the way they feel, whether it's to drive in fear or hesitation before a fight, to warm a person up to her advances or even on one occasion, pull someone away from the top of a building.

[ The Story of the Past ]
The transition from child to princess was a difficult one for the heir to Venus, a spoilt, quick tempered young girl who for a long period of time was left with her hands tied behind her back and in extreme cases, tape across her mouth for the lies she used to speak. This Venus was very adept at the turning of emotions and ties, a quick tap to the chest or a fork tongued lie was usually enough to turn even the strongest of willed. So good in fact, that not even her courtiers could trust her in some instances and few were willing to work around her.
Her chamber was often taking in fresh recruits who quickly fled in fits of tears.
Venus had her good days, days where she was contented enough to walk through her halls without the need to start an arguement or steal the heart of a courtiers lover. However everyone tiptoed around her in trepidation, as these days were few and far between, typically shattered upon the Princess returning from business with Moon Kingdom royalty...
"Why must I pander to a Princess I barely speak to? She has her other friends to cater to all of the official business, why can't I be left alone?" In regards to Selenity's 'other friends,' Venus of course meant the likes of Solaris, Uranus and Earth. She was always bitter that she wasn't included, her power was just as strong as theirs, her influence was probably stronger too (which considering her ability was to some degree true). Every meeting she was flanked by her guardian, Neith, and emotional hijinx were an absolute no-go within her highnesses gates. If only she could twist the way they saw her, perhaps then she would be included.
Following the highly sexualised rumours of Selenity's relationship with her friends, whispers soon crept through Venus' quarters that it was in fact she who began the hearsay. One wouldn't be surprised, yet Venus neither admitted to nor defended herself against these allegations. She hardly cared anymore, sitting on her side of the table, noticeably removed from the rest of the Senshi and simply waiting to go home. There was only so much hand-tying and mouth taping that someone her age could put up with anymore. She shrank away from almost everyone, and for a short while, the court of Venus was at a relative peace, albeit a sad and retired one. Even the news of a Moon courtiers murder did not stir the Princess any longer.
Upon the calls of war, Venus reluctantly followed her duty and her fellow Princesses out onto the battlefield, and it was here that for the first time, she felt a sense of comaraderie. The tingles along her arms, her legs and the back of her neck. This was serious shit...play time was clearly very over.
For once, Venus felt like one of the team, and facing off against the Shade Senshi, she recognised her duty as a Sailor Senshi.
Calling a last minute buff for her team, Venus was one of the first to leap into the heat of battle jumping toe-to-toe against faceless minions, dodging and hiding from her Shade counterpart Aphrodite. She wanted to make it up to everyone, forgetting the use of her blade, she continued to call strength for her fellow Senshi and their Guardians, almost as an apology, right up until the last of her energy was spent.
She regrettably lost Neith somewhere along the way, that stirred her more than anything. She'd made it mostly towards the end of the battle, a no-mans land of corpses lay to her front and to her back and when faced with a Senshi she was too tired to remember the name or face of, she finally burst into tears. Forcing every muscle in her body, Venus desperately called on her Venus Victrix ability to strengthen her ally, but when she failed, the golden dome on her arm cracked, and the Morning Star flittered to nothing.
With a final, lung splitting scream she doubled over and rested her hands on her knees. For some reason the onslaught of minions had disappeared, and there was a moment of peace that for once in her life, Venus wished could be filled by the embrace of a fellow Sailor Senshi. There was no hug, instead a sharp pain in her back, followed by ice cold. She dropped to her knees then, defeated, too stunned by the shock to straighten herself out properly.
She died on her knees, never seeing the face of her attacker. She died bitter. Bitter at her enemy, and at her own life choices.

Venus Victrix
- Sequence: Venus Victrix is a very brief ability, but a sought after and very useful one. With a deep breath in, Venus tenses her body as the gold that sparkles around her arm engulfs her body, tightens and falls to the ground around her feet. With a flinch, a river of gold sweeps the ground in a wave, crawling up the bodies of any comrade within a 50 meter radius from her.
- Effect: Much like her Ganbare! passive ability, this power boosts the strength and ability of those around her for roughly 5 minutes (10 minutes at most depending how receptive they are; Neith for example would benefit the most due to her spiritual connection).
However, using this buff causes Venus to lose her ability to call the blade of her Morning Star for its duration, although her shield is still functional.
Broken Heart Syndrome
- Sequence: Can only be used in close combat, this attack requires Venus to press her index and middle fingers to her lips in a light kiss motion, before driving them into the chest of her enemy with a forceful thrust.
- Effect: For a split second, Venus causes her opponent to feel complete, dysfunctional loss to such a degree as to cause a paralytic form of 'broken heart syndrome.' This, in effect, causes the heart to stop momentarily (skip a beat) and weaken for a short time, leaving them dibilitated and open to attack.
This attack causes Venus to lose the ability to wield the Morning Star altogether for a few minutes.
