Gender:Female

[ Appearances ]
Hair: Her natural hair color is a pale pink (think carnation pink), and her hair in civilian form barely reaches her shoulders. Naturally straight, her hair is kept cut short all around. In front, her hair is long enough to touch her left shoulder. It gradually shortens until you reach the back of her head, where the hair goes to approximately the nape of her neck. On the side, it will shorten just a little bit more, with her hair dangling about an inch above her right shoulder. This gives Daci the appearance that her hair is "off-balance", as looking at her from the front, one can see where her hair is of varying lengths at her shoulders. From behind, the hair looks more uniform in nature, without the lopsided effect. She also has no bangs to speak of.
Face & Eyes: Her face, oval in shape, houses a pair of pale grey eyes which have no slant to them. She has a slightly narrow jaw line, and a small (some would almost say "pixie-like") nose.
Body Type: Daci stands 5'7" tall, and is very slim in stature. Body-wise, Daci is not quite rail-thin like a gymnast, nor is she overly developed. Her breasts, while visible, do not stick out like most women's. Her waist is slimmer, giving her somewhat of an hour-glass figure, though not really a truly "defined" one as her hips are not that much wider than her waist is. Her legs are slightly toned from having to stand for so long in her activities, and her arms have the appearance of having no muscle tone whatsoever. Her body shows no sign of fat, nor of muscle. She moves with the grace of an actress, and for good reason (as is explained below). Her complexion, while not deathly pale, is still a shade lighter than "normal" complexion. There are no identifying marks or scars on her body. Her voice is very low-key in tone, definitely in the lower end of the female voice range.
Clothing Style:
Daci wears two different types of clothing depending on her mood for the day. If she wants to really fit in around town she can be found wearing designer jeans and shirts that are big in fashion (such as tight worded t-shirts, too-tight mini tops and tank tops.) she has no specific colors she likes to wear or won't wear when it comes to designer fashion. She loves to wear jewelry at this point as well. She adores long dangling earrings and beaded necklaces and bracelets. Her shoes are usually some type of high heel or boots. She loves to look hip and to blend with everyone else when she is in her "designer" mood.
When she is in a more homesick mood, Daci can be found wearing things more free flowing and resembling more of her country's traditional clothing. When in this mood Daci is usually found in long flowing skirts of white, black, or brown in color. She doesn't wear vibrant colors in her traditional clothing style. She loves to wear loose fitting blouses and peasant tops that are sometimes covered with a brown vest. Very little jewelry is worn with her traditional wear, though she does have a special silver necklace with a blood red ruby flower jewel on it from her youngest brother. Her shoes are also simple black or brown colored, flat, and with very little designs. The only bit of decoration seen on them would be a small bit of beading.

Personality: Daci tends to not be much of a "people person" when in large crowds. She is outgoing and friendly with a small group of people, mostly those she knows well. However, if she sees someone who is in a bad mood or depressed, she isn't afraid to ask someone what the problem is. Daci is also prone to occasionally throwing Shakespearean quotes in her speech. She isn't afraid of much, but only if someone knows where and how to look will they find her one true fear. Daci is quick to adapt to a situation thanks to her theatrical experience and is seldom caught off-guard for more than a few moments. Also, her presence seems to calm people who are on the verge of a panic attack induced by fear.
There are occasions, however, when she will feel a bit homesick and contemplate what is happening with her family. Daci keeps her heart locked away from everyone, afraid of having it damaged further. She's hesitant to commit to any sort of serious relationship. She seems to fear commitment and being open with not only others but herself at times as well. This makes it hard for her to be confrontational. She tries to avoid situations where she could be forced to utilize her "gift", not knowing what the result could be if things got out of control. As such, she could be labeled a pacifist when in human form.
She can be perceived as a very different and odd sort of person at times because of how she acts/ reacts, which can cause her to avoid people all together. She is trying to overcome these actions the best she can, but it seems that sometimes she can't even use her own powers for her own sanity. She also seems most at ease when enjoying a cup of coffee either at home or at a local coffee shop, and this seems to be the place that she is able to be the most social.
Strengths:
- Usually a people person
- Fluent in many languages
- Memorization
- Listening
Weaknesses:
-Stereotyping
-Relationships
-Homesick
-Sports
Dreams:
Daci's first love is the theater, and her main aspiration is to be cast in the role of Ophelia in a major production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet. However, if she can use that position to help eliminate some of the stereotypes surrounding her home region and their people, she won't hesitate to do that, either. The theater comes first and foremost, though.
Fears:
Her Abilities: Ever since learning of her abilities, Daci has been hesitant to utilize them for one simple reason: she's scared to see the results when it becomes crunch time. She is literally scared of her powers and what might happen when they slip out of her control and go unchecked in the field of battle. In her case, given her element of influence, she truly fears nothing but fear itself.

[ Present History ]
Daciana was born into a rather large family within the heart of Transylvania, Romania. Her mother is a well-known artist in this part of the country and has produced many pieces of work ranging from oil canvas paintings to ornate baskets weaved from hand. Her father is a business man who travels far and wide around Europe. Daciana doesn't really know what kind of business he is in, all she knows is that he always brings home amazing gifts and makes enough money for them to live. Daciana has 5 siblings, 2 older sisters, an older brother, a twin brother, and a younger brother. Her older sisters are teachers at schools around the community. Her older brother works at a local mill. Her twin is more into sports then anything and continues to practice his skills in fencing and archery. His goal is the Olympics. Her younger brother is just starting middle school and the two of them are the closest of the siblings.
Daciana grew up in a very large and semi-wealthy home, but her parents never showed their money off. Instead the used a lot of it to help out the community by giving money to the schools and other areas to build safe areas for the children. They enjoyed the culture of their homeland and brought their children up to enjoy it as well. The kids were never spoiled except for having such a large home that no one moved away. Each child had a love of something different and their parents strived to make sure they had every chance to succeed in their dreams.
Ever since Daciana can remember, she always enjoyed theatre. In middle school, she was always the one who tried out for every play, though she didn't always make it. Once she made it to high school, she was becoming an amazing performer on stage. Daciana was a gifted actress and her teachers were starting to notice. At the end of high school she was awarded a scholarship for a theatre school in the city where her father worked. This was a big deal for Daci, whose dream it was to become a big actress and showcase that her people were not the same as those written about by Bram Stoker. Her family was also excited, because this meant that Daci would still be staying at home.
Once she graduated from the college, she started to act on the local stages. She was becoming a big time name in Romania, though she never let that go to her head. One night during a performance, a man approached her and asked her to join him in Tokyo, Japan for a theatre school for aspiring actors. Daci explained to him that she had already gone to school and graduated, but the man was persistent and didn't want her talent to go unseen in such a small country. He wanted to show her the big time gigs she could be performing in. She agreed, knowing this was her big chance.
When Daciana told her family, they were devastated, especially her youngest brother Nickolai. She explained to them that this was what she wanted, but that she would come home whenever she could and call every night. She promised Nickolai she would send him gifts of her travels which made him feel a little better. Even though they were reluctant, they agreed that this was a big break and allowed her to go for it. Daciana's mother promised to touch nothing in her room so it was always there for her. Before she left, Nickolai gave her a present. It was a silver necklace with a blood red ruby flower jewel, her favorite color. Daciana was speechless and put it on right away. She tried to hold back her tears so her family would cry, as she boarded the plane.
When she made it to Tokyo, the change in culture and surroundings was a major shock to her. She had grown up in the mountains, and now she was engulfed in a city of lights, noises, and people all busy trying to get someplace. She knew this was going to take a lot of getting used to. At the school, Daciana felt more at home. It was a beautiful place surrounded by serene gardens and water fountains. It was a small escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Daci fit right in here and soon was making lots of friends and becoming very popular. She was given her own apartment where she decorated it much like home. She also gained a close friend, a stray cat she named Hamlet. The cat is a different type then most, he is Javanese, which is a relation to a Siamese species. Hamlet is chocolate in color with red colored feet and his tail is also tipped in red. Being Javanese, Hamlet is a very vocal cat, but these sounds are comforting to Daci.
Shortly after her arrival at the school, strange things started to happen. She seemed to have a strange effect on people. She would be the comforting arm to go to when people had certain fears, especially right before the opening of a play in front of an audience. Everyone seemed to feel more at ease about their fears after talking to Daci, which didn't seem normal to her.

[ A Look Deeper ]
Uniform Description:
Bodice: Blood orange sleeve-less fabric with a strip like opening on either side held together by pewter gray cross-stitching. The stitching runs along both her sides in a crisscross like pattern, allowing a little skin to be shown (about a one-inch strip on either side). It starts right under her armpit and runs vertically to meet her skirt. There are no other openings on the bodice, or any other designs.
Collar: Her collar is V-shaped, and is primarily blood orange, with a pewter gray mesh outline. This gives the effect of a sort of blood orange "mist" enveloping the shoulders of Phobos.
Skirt: The skirt is colored the exact same way as her collar and is not pleated. It's sewn into the bottom of the bodice which makes it difficult from a distance to tell if her skirt and bodice are two separate pieces or just one. There is no belt or waistband to separate the two pieces. The same gray mesh fabric seen on her collar also appears at the bottom of her skirt, extending the length an extra four inches, making the skirt end just inches above her knees. There is a 2 inch tall v-shaped cut in the back of the skirt giving her movability.
Boots: Phobos' boots are pewter gray in color, have a two-inch heel, and are primarily made of a soft fabric which helps her to move more quietly in stealth operations. They are mid-calf length and the top is angled in a v shape (think sailor moon boots just pointing down instead of up)
Choker: Her choker is a single 2 inch strip of pewter satin.
Tiara: Her tiara is a thin piece of pewter metal that goes straight around her head, like a circlet and is seen over her hair. From the center of the piece (at her forehead) is a small blood ruby that hangs down in the shape of her symbol.
Brooch: Phobos has no brooch, per se. In the center of her bodice is a small gem, blood orange in color, with gray flecks inside of it. This gem echoes the appearance of her eyes.
Gauntlets: They are metallic, pewter gray in color, but the fingertips (going to the first knuckle of the finger) and the palm of each gauntlet are blood orange to better simulate her hands being "bloody," thus adding to the fear factor. There are no engravings or any other markings on the gauntlets, which extend halfway up her forearm, and flare out at that point.
Other notes: It should be noted that her hair magically lengthens to go to the bottom of her butt, and twists into a braid as well as gaining a hidden surprise (see "Weapons," below).
In addition, her eyes retain their normal grey color, but gain the appearance of having broken irises, that appear to have been split into four unequally-sized pieces. The irises loosely remain in a circular shape around the pupil, though the whites of her eyes can be seen in between each section of the iris. (She once heard someone she looked at while in this form refer to her eyes as being "shattered" and thought that it sounded much more fearful than simply "broken." Although the latter term is more correct, she thinks of it in the former terminology.) This does not affect Phobos' vision, and is a visual by-product of her element of fear to have eyes that can seriously put the fear into someone who stares at them. The eyes never appear the same way twice when she transforms. Sometimes one corner will have the largest piece of the iris, the next time it could be the smallest. But the "broken" irises look like they can be pieced together (and do that when she de-transforms, just without the glow from when she transforms initially). Also, at the very end of her lengthened braid, a small blade is hidden. If Phobos should swing her head around, this unnamed blade can catch anyone nearby with a minor slashing attack. It's not a primary attack method for her, and it certainly does not deal a lot of damage, but it's good for the element of surprise to keep her opponents guessing and fearing getting into melee combat range.
Fuku- i4.photobucket.com/albums/y122/allwillbesilence/LoTM/phobos-1.jpg
Weapon: Terror's End--This weapon is a serrated long sword. Instead of the blade being straight, there are numerous "teeth" on either edge of the blade, which make any wounds caused by the weapon to be ragged and harder to heal as the teeth repeatedly tear away at the flesh. The blade of the weapon is two and a half feet long, is jet black in color, and has no visible markings or etchings on the weapon. The "teeth" of the weapon are spaced about an inch apart from each other, and all possible edges of the weapon (both on the teeth and in the half-inch-deep curves in between them) are sharpened to still allow a normal slashing attack to rend flesh should it connect.
Phobos Final Apprehension
Battle Style:Phobos is an in your face type of hand to hand fighting. She has grown to be a very stealthy senshi and is not afraid to hide out before attacking. She has also, due to her realm, gained the ability to almost see in the dark. The dark is where most fears hide, so the dark is a welcome time for her. However, Phobos doesn’t work well within a team, even with her own guardians! Due to her past and most people’s fear of her powers, Phobos doesn’t like to work with others.
Warrior Personality: As Phobos, Daci's personality does a total U-turn. Gone is the bubbly personality. Instead, almost every action Phobos makes is designed to put the fear of (insert your favorite deity here) into them. If the enemy is fearful, their fighting effectiveness is reduced. If her allies are fearful of her, they will work faster to finish the fight and get away from her. Anything to speed up the fight in particular is what she will do. Making threatening gestures with her sword, snarling in rage, staring at someone with her broken/shattered eyes...whatever it takes. Phobos is the epitome of fear, and her enemies (and allies) would be well advised to remember that.
Passive Abilities: Soothing Presence: When in civilian form, Daci has the capability of helping people with their fears, talking a way through them. Whether it be something mundane as being scared of a thunderstorm or something totally off-the-wall (being afraid of chickens, as an example), Daci's words and mere presence tend to settle the person who is feeling the fear in question, and help them back to a point where they can once again function on their own. When she transforms, however, this ability is rendered null and void until such time as she returns to civilian guise.
Curl up: When Daci loose her cool with someone and her anger rages out of control, she has the ability (even though she can’t always control it) to make their fears come at them full force and make them intensify. This can cause people to be caught in a world where their true fears envelop them.
[ It Ends Here Tonight ]
[ The Story of the Past ]
In Ages Past: During the Silver Millennium the woman who would come to be known as Phobos was on a long-term vacation on Mars with her family when she was still a child. They had come to Mars to get away from some stress on Phobos and the family was enjoying life on Mars. The girl who grew up to be feared had not a care in the world. Her father was no longer a military man (or so she thought) and she was able to finally grow up in a stress free environment. Then word came in to the girl's family: the man of the house was being called back to serve in the reserve militia and as like thieves in the night, they were forced to return to the Martian moon immediately.
The girl discovered her powers during a rare off day for her father, a year after they had come back to Phobos. He had taken the family out on a camping trip to a nearby lake, and her mother had packed a picnic lunch. The three of them had settled down to eat when a brown bear came into the clearing, where they were. The two adults were scared (and justifiably so), and as they tried to pick up the thirteen-year-old Phobos to flee, she slipped out of their grasp and turned to face the bear, who was snarling at her. Phobos did not back down. Instead, she stared at the bear, and her parents went into shock as an orange glow surrounded her. The bear looked stunned for a moment, and then turned around and scampered away as fast as it could go. Her mother tried to call to her, and Phobos turned around. In the brief moment that followed, both parents would swear that Phobos' eyes looked broken, and that something had possessed their child. They would never say that to her face, though, as the moment quickly passed and she once again was the daughter they had come to rise.
A couple of years passed. Phobos, now at the age of sixteen, was to begin her training at the same facility that her father was stationed at. She quickly became one of the better swordswomen in the camp, showing her skill at quickly disarming her foes. However, a freak accident would forever change how people thought about her. Five months into training, Phobos was paired off in a training duel with a new recruit. The newbie was pretty good with a sword, and Phobos was having a tough time disarming the new recruit. Once again, the orange glow surrounded Phobos, and the recruit, not knowing what was happening, turned to flee, but tripped over his own feet. His sword fell hilt-first and was still halfway standing as he fell too. The result was catastrophic, as he ended up impaling himself on his own weapon. He was dead before he finished falling to the ground. Everyone--the instructors, her fellow militia members, and even her parents when they got word of what happened--were scared of what she was capable of, if this could happen. Phobos herself did not understand; she just wanted some answers that no one seemed to have.
A few more months passed. By this time, Phobos was left to fend for herself, and lived on the other side of the moon. Her weird orange manifestation had not come back since that day in the training field, and she would have preferred it to remain that way. However, a group of robbers wanting to mug Phobos would spoil that. Once more, the orange glow manifested, and the thieves turned tail to flee. Phobos slumped against a nearby wall, almost in tears at what was happening to her. "Ye're de chosen 'un, lass. Phobos has chosen ye te be its' champion." Looking sharply up, she saw a wizened old man standing before her, leaning on a gnarled staff of wood. "What do you mean?" "De orange glow, lass. 'Tis a mark of de chosen, dat is." The man turned out to be the father of another who had been the chosen of Phobos until she died due to natural causes. The man took Phobos under his wing and helped her come to terms with her newly-discovered powers.
When the man passed on some six months later, she knew that her place was on Mars, as a member of the Court. Phobos had a bit of a connection with the new ruler of Mars. She admired the warrior within and the women who could be still fear in those around her, even without the powers of Phobos. This drew her in and Phobos found herself wanting to always be by the Mar's side. This fascination turned into a sort of lust and infatuation on Phobos' part. However, knowing what could lay ahead, Phobos kept her feelings to herself. Due to her powers and her history, the court stayed away from her. They did not want her powers of fear to be turned on them. Phobos became a recluse in her own court, the fear too great for people to attempt to breach it. This didn't have a huge effect on Phobos, she was used to it by now.
However, Mars seemed to see something else in her. On the Mars' eighteenth birthday, Phobos agreed to a sparring match. Phobos was not ready for it in the least, she still hated the idea of using her realm, and she didn't like coming to terms with the idea that she may actually fear.. Fear itself. Mars was a ruthless opponent, and in the end Phobos lost badly. Mars hardly seemed to give her second glance when Jupiter walked in. Phobos slunk off into the shadows, licking her wounds.
She could hardly make it anywhere without word of the spar making her a laughing stock in the court. How could the solider of fear... have fear? Phobos was not in a pleasant state of mind and thought about disappearing forever ... in some way. However, it was Phobos' spirit itself that turned her away from the idea of death. It came in the form of a glowing orange orb in a dream. Phobos realized she had to get in touch with the fear inside her to be able to make others fear her, and allow her the ability to protect Mars. Phobos woke the next morning, reluctant, but knowing what had to be done. She went back to training, by herself none the less.
A month later, making more progress toward understanding the fear inside, Phobos challenged Mars to another spar. This time the spar went better for Phobos, though ultimately Mars would be the victor. Phobos was better able to control her abilities (and show off her skills with the long sword), and even turned them on her Queen. She knew that if Mars could face her fears, she’d be an even more formidable fighter on the battlefield. However, Phobos never dreamed how fast that fateful day would come.
War broke out, soon after Phobos had turned nineteen. Phobos, knew she had to turn her attention to the major war instead of the war inside herself. She made her way with her Queen to the Moon. She found hard and was one of the last warriors to fall, having used her element of fear judiciously to hack her way through the front lines. She had closed in on Nemesis, looking to engage her in combat, when a hidden enemy got her in the back of the head with a thrown dagger. Phobos didn't even have time for a last thought as she collapsed within yards of the target everyone had been fighting against.

- Sequence: A black aura surrounds Phobos as she gazes upon her foe(s), arms crossed in front of her chest with hands near the shoulders. The aura slowly turns a deep reddish-orange in color as she builds power. In her mind (or out loud, it's Phobos' choice), she determines who will be affected by her attack. Finally, she spreads her arms to either side of her in a quick motion, as the aura vanishes. Nothing else seems to physically happen, as the result of the attack affects her targets' minds.
- Effect: The effect of this ability will buy time for the senshi to recover, as all of the victims of this attack will be forced to face down their innermost fears. This does have its' drawbacks, as the more often a person is subjected to this attack, the faster they can see through the illusion for what it is. However, in the time the victims are facing their fears, they are highly vulnerable to attacks from anyone else. Also, the more people Phobos chooses to target at once, the weaker this attack will be overall and the more energy she has to build in order to unleash this attack, because she has to work with so many minds at once.
