[ The Basics ]
Name Meaning: Gentle Gift of Nature
Nick Name: Kida
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Gay
[ Sweet Ruptured Light ]
[ Appearances ]
Hair: Kida’s hair is pitch black with blue highlights. It’s also very thick hair that is usually in a wild mass of ringlets and curls. The thick locks, when left loose, fall to her chest and Kida tends to go through shampoo like crazy. But usually, Kida keeps her hair pinned down under a kerchief or in a braid and very rarely lets it loose.
Face & Eyes: Her eyes are pale blue-grey in color, round, and very expressive. Kida’s face is round in shape and she has a slightly pointed chin. Her complexion is a creamy light peach tone because she can’t tan at all. In makeup terms, it’d be “ivory” or something similar but she hardly wears makeup. She has high cheekbones, a straight and narrow nose, and average sized ears. Both of Kida’s ears are pierced once in the lower part of the lobe. Kida’s lips are pale rose in color and she has a fuller lower lip than her upper one.
Body Type: At 5’4” in height, Kida doesn’t exactly scream “intimidation”, but when she’s brandishing her spoon at someone, she seems to grow another foot. Kida carries herself with an air of confidence and thinks that she’s tall. Kida weighs 117 pounds and has a figure that’s in very good shape. She has muscled arms, broad shoulders, and long, toned legs. With a small B cup, narrow waist, and slightly rounded hips, Kida does have a bit of a curvaceous figure, but she blames that on her love of good cooking and too many starchy American foods.
Clothing Style: For summer and early fall, when it’s warm out, Kida likes capri pants and long skirts. Kida doesn’t like shorts or any sort of clothing that doesn’t reach her knees. It feels uncomfortable, and she would rather not show off that much skin to people. For tops, Kida enjoys tank tops, T-shirts, and sometimes she wears sundresses too. All are in a variety of pastels and colors, as Kida tends to stay away from darker colors. They don’t do anything for her skin tone. Kida likes movement, so she favors cotton and linen fabrics for the summer season. They’re easy, breezy fabrics that’ll allow her to feel comfortable even when it’s scorching out. And during the summer, Kida always wears a large hat of some kind, and sunglasses, to keep the sun off of her face so she doesn’t burn.
When the seasons turn and it becomes colder, Kida breaks out the snuggly sweaters. Because she likes feeling warm and absolutely despises the cold, Kida will wear large jersey sweaters with fleece lining, comfortable jeans, scarves, big wool jackets lined with fleece, thick wool gloves, and fuzzy earmuffs. Kida also tends to wear tall boots lined with fleece or velvet to keep her toes warm. And, in case of emergencies, she carries a hand warmer in her jacket pocket and a small packet of tissues. Kida can’t stand the cold, and so she dresses accordingly. In winter she’ll wear darker colors, but only on her scarves or gloves or something. She’s actually rather fond of the warm velvet coats for winter and has one in pale blue and one in pink that she likes to wear when it gets cold.

Personality: For her entire life, Kida has been taking on responsibility for herself and her family. She has shouldered the duties of being an adult and a mom when she was just a teenager and it’s what she knows best. Truthfully, Kida thinks she’s an adult in just a very young-looking body. After all, with all she’s been through, doesn’t she deserve the right to be seen as an adult? Responsibility is something Kida understands and even when there are times she doesn’t want to take on more tasks, she will anyway because she believes she’s the only one who can handle it. With a sense of maturity about her and seriousness in her eyes, Kida seems far older than her 18 years.
Kida is a very emotional person and those emotions tend to lead her around by the nose. It’s like that old saying, “If Mama ain’t happy, NOBODY’S happy.” When she’s happy, you know it. When Kida’s sad, you know it. And when she’s mad…boy howdy do you know it. She isn’t afraid to show her emotions and they’re often written all over her face. And she has little to no control over them most of the time. When her temper flares, she tends to start hitting things or people and quickly flies off the deep end. Of course, if one were to REALLY berate Kida, they’d find out that she cries fairly easily and usually starts crying after she gets angry.
Around people she knows well, like her family, Kida is most definitely the “Mom” figure. She is there with Kleenex, spare change, pens, paper, local maps, metro schedules, bus schedules, everything one could need to get around Tokyo and even some things you don’t really need like bits of old string and paper clips. She isn’t afraid to share what she has with others and never expects anything back. Kida’s kinda used to getting walked on, which is kinda sad, but she knows that sometimes you have to get walked on a bit when you’re being kind to people. She pulls out all the stops when it comes to making her friends and family happy and isn’t afraid to give them random hugs and affection.
What makes her happiest though is when she just has a calm, quiet moment to herself working in her gardens. Nature makes her happy and she loves to be surrounded by it. Kida could spend hours just walking through a wild wood or climbing a mountain trail, breathing in the fresh air, and observing all of the wildlife around her. The only thing better than that is sitting down with a new sewing project or a new recipe for her to try out. It’s a calm, quiet time where it’s just her and her thoughts and it allows her to unwind from the day. All in all, Kida is a kind, gentle person with a stubborn streak a mile wide and simple dreams of the future. She loves her family more than life itself and hopes, with all her heart, that someday she’ll be as happy as her mother was.
Strengths: She is Your Mom, reverse psychology, kind, giving, good with kids, wise, eyes in the back of her head, great cook, great with roses, always prepared for things.
Weaknesses: Nagging, stubborn, condescending (mama knows best after all), emotional, hates cars, soft-spoken, cold weather, coddles people, seeing kids in trouble, people in her kitchen.
Dreams: To be a mother and have a family, to have a beautiful rose garden, to turn her sewing into a successful business.
Fears: Heights, cars, going out after dark, horror movies, worms.

[ Present History ]
Yasashii Kidate was the firstborn child of Yasashii Ryoji and his wife Akiko. She was a summer baby, and supposedly babies born in the summer are stronger. If anything, Kida believes that she just learned to love warm weather because of it. She was a very happy baby, always curious about everything, and Akiko often brought the small girl outside with her during the summer and spring months to help her tend to her garden. Of course, Kida always got filthy during these little expeditions, but she had fun. Akiko ran a small business from home: she had a greenhouse out back and sold her beautiful plants and flowers to people. Ryoji was a salary man with a decent wage and a good position and taught karate in his spare time.
When Kida was four, her twin younger brothers, Ken and Yamato, came along. During this time, the family was going through a bit of a rough patch. The company Ryoji worked for wasn’t doing too well and he was spending all of his spare time looking for another position in addition to teaching karate, so he was barely home to help take care of the new babies. So most of the responsibilities fell onto Kida’s shoulders. She learned how to sew, help weed the garden, change diapers, help with laundry, and all of the other domestic chores that her mother did around the house. Eventually, Ryoji found another position, but it was at a reduced wage and only part-time. Well, at least he could focus more on his true loves: his family and martial arts.
Ryoji started to teach Kida martial arts when she was five and she quickly took to it, enjoying the quiet times she got to spend with her father rather than running around after her little brothers. Akiko thought it was a good idea for them to bond, considering how busy Ryo had been when Kida was born. Years went by and when Kida was seven and her brothers were three, Akiko became pregnant again, this time with a little girl they named Natsuko. Kida quickly embraced her “part-time mommy” duties again and acted as both older sister and baby-sitter to her younger siblings. After all, the twins were getting into everything and now with a young baby in the house, Kida had to be more grown-up than ever. While her mom took care of the baby, Kida would be making dinner, doing the laundry, and keeping an eye on her younger brothers.
Tragedy struck the happy family when Kida was 10 years old. She and Akiko were out driving during a bad thunderstorm, coming back from the supermarket, and were on a slippery road when all of a sudden, a stray dog leaped out in front of them. Kida had been knocked unconscious and came to hours later when a team of paramedics was leaning into the car to try and get her and her mother out. Kida had a few bruises, a concussion, several cuts on her face and hands, and a broken wrist, but was otherwise fine. However, Akiko’s head had slammed into the steering wheel and she suffered a broken neck that caused her to die on the scene of the accident.
From there, Ryo fell into a deep depression and started drinking. Still recovering from the shock of losing her mother, Kida now knew that the role of being the mom would now fall on her shoulders completely. Natsuko was still a toddler after all and she and her brothers were only in elementary school…it seemed an impossible task, but Kida bravely shouldered her responsibilities and marched on. Kida quickly mastered the basics of cooking, shopping, sewing, taking care of the house, the family, and even worked on the checkbooks while her father remained in his room. Needless to say, her performance in school suffered, but with the help of her brothers, Kida managed to stay in school, manage the greenhouse, and take care of the house.
When she turned thirteen and her father still hadn’t come out of his depression, Kida finally took matters into her own hands. She slapped her own father, talking to him as though she was a fellow adult rather than his teenage daughter, and accused him of everything she could think of. He was selfish, lazy, and irresponsible, was shaming their mother’s memory, had gotten fat, had trusted his finances and home to his ten year old daughter rather than take responsibility himself. Natsuko had just started elementary school and had taken to calling Kida “mama” rather than “big sister” and the little girl clung to Kida’s skirts as their father got yelled at by the thirteen-year-old girl.
It was enough to snap Ryo out of his depression and he apologized profoundly to his young children. Ryo decided to teach karate from home in their basement so he could help take care of the house affairs and look after them. When he went over the checkbooks with Kida, he was shocked to find they had managed to stay afloat even with him not working. Kida explained that she had started tending to the greenhouse and for some reason she was able to produce bigger, more beautiful roses and was able to charge a larger price for them. The twins had also started doing things like taking their old wagon around the neighborhood and selling the flowers door-to-door. She had also done piecework and sewing in her home economics class and had sold several pieces to her teachers and fellow students. Ryo was so proud of his little girl and vowed from then on he would do all he could to make sure she didn’t have to do so much again.
The years passed in relative ease after that. Kida’s grades improved, she was getting more and more requests from people for both flowers and garments or bits of embroidery, and she now had more time to herself to spend with her father or just to go shopping with girlfriends, something she hadn’t had time for before. When Kida got into the high school she wanted, her father threw her and her friends a big party. And that night, when she was sixteen, she got her first kiss from a girl named Hikaru. Hikaru had admired Kida for years and finally found the nerve to tell her how she felt. Kida was a bit startled at first, but was flattered by the other girls’ affections. They just seemed more…genuine than the boys that had confessed their feelings for her. The two of them started to spend more time together, which got the attention of Ryo.
He confronted his daughter about the time she was spending with Hikaru and she admitted that she had deep feelings for her friend. Ryo promptly said: “I will accept this lifestyle of yours, but not under my roof.” So, Kida and Hikaru split amicably, with vague promises to continue their relationship when they graduated high school. Kida hated her father for it, but she had her responsibilities and despite how old she felt on the inside, she was still under his care. The day of the split, Kida got on the metro to Harujuku, on a Sunday, and just sat despondently under a tree. But that’s when she noticed the beautiful girls walking around in their clothes. Kida was intrigued and rather charmed by the garments. A few hours later and Kida was heading back to her home with a copy of the fashion magazine, a new sketchbook, and a bunch of ideas floating around in her head.
Kida quickly created new sketches and went back to Harujuku and the stores to show her designs and ask questions. They caught the attention of some of the shoppers and soon, Kida had requests for this skirt or that dress or those stockings. She took down names, numbers, measurements, articles desired, and started taking commissions for clothing. When Kida graduated high school, she had several devoted customers and enough money to print out business cards. They now included a website, which her brother Yamato had helped her set up, and her new address. Because now that she was 18, she was moving out to start her own life. Instead of going to college, Kida got a small apartment near Harujuku, set up her greenhouse on top of the building (with the landlord’s permission), moved in, and got right down to more commissions and tending her garden.

Uniform Description:
Weapon: Earth Gauntlets – See uniform for physical description. These gloves are very lightweight, flexible, and incredibly powerful. They are the one part of Earth’s armor that will never break, no matter what is thrown at them. They also have the power to magnify any punch or shove Earth lands on an enemy.
Healing Petals
Tangling Roots
Battle Style: Earth is a close-range fighter that uses her trapping maneuvers and powerful gauntlets to beat down the opponent. Her martial arts skills make her very fast and agile but she doesn’t engage in attacks unless provoked first.
Warrior Personality: Kida doesn’t really change much when she transforms into Sailorearth. She does, however, become much more protective of Selenity and Sailoruranus. Even though they’re both warriors who can take care of themselves, Earth believes that they require additional protection. She also becomes much more of a leader and isn’t afraid to bark orders, even though technically Uranus is above her in rank. Earth also becomes more calm and levelheaded rather than being led around by her emotions.
Passive Abilities:
Green Thumb (she can grow anything and it will be twice as good as the best grower’s produce)
Magic Brew (Kida’s teas, soups, anything made with herbs are extremely potent and work wonders)
Earth Connection (Kida can feel changes on the Earth’s surface just by pressing her hand to the ground she uses the vibrations to “see” what’s going on.)

[ The Story of the Past ]
During the time of the Silver Millennium, the Princess Earth was always known as a gentle, loving girl who embraced nature and constantly stood as the left hand of Princess Selenity. It had been that way for generations, considering the Earth and Moon were connected in ways that no one could ever truly understand. Sometimes the bond was as sisters, sometimes as friends, but not once did any of the girls of the Earth Royal Line attempt to make anything more of her relationship with the Princess Selenity. It was forbidden for the Earth and the Moon form any sort of love between them and this always remained so.
When the Princess Earth during the Silver Millennium was born, she seemed to be much like her predecessors: gentle, kind, and with a love of nature that showed in everything she was. But there was one major difference…this Princess formed a close bond with Princess Selenity. In fact, the bond became so strong and so close that her guardian Kunzite would not allow her to visit the Moon Kingdom without him present. Earth also formed a close bond with Uranus and Solaris as well so that they became as close a quartet as there ever was. In fact, Earth often made a joke that they comprised the four parts of the earth, the moon, the sun, and the heavens. When rumors began to surface that perhaps there was more to the bond between Earth, Selenity, and Uranus that was more than sisters Kunzite insisted that she return to Earth immediately for her own safety and insisted on no more visits to the Moon.
However, there were still times when visits to the Moon were necessary and so Earth was not only accompanied by Kunzite, but by a retinue of guards who ensured she never strayed far from their sight. Earth chafed at this confinement but understood the necessity. After all, to break the laws of the gods by having the Earth and Moon fall in love would result in Princess Earth being confined for the rest of her lifetime. On one such necessary visit to the moon, it was discovered a minor courtier had been murdered. The message left chilled Earth to the very bone and Kunzite wasted no time in whisking the princess back home.
Then they appeared.
Sailor Soldiers claiming the Grecian forms of the Gods, demanding the thrones of the planetary princesses, and invaded the Court of the Moon. Earth returned to fight against them, enraged that someone would dare to try and take the throne from the rightful rulers. What was confusing to her was that she had no Shade counterpart. Still, she remained on the Moon acting as support for those fighting their Shade enemies with Kunzite at her side. The armies of minions were annoyances but still able to cause chaos. Senshi was pitted against Senshi and in the confusion, Selenity disappeared from the battlefield. Earth fought her way to Uranus to question why their princess had disappeared and was felled by a blow from behind. She never saw her attacker, nor knew what happened to Kunzite.

Instead of going to college, Kida got a small apartment near Harujuku, set up her greenhouse on top of the building (with the landlord’s permission), moved in, and got right down to more commissions and tending her garden.

[ A Look Deeper ]
Uniform Description:
- First Layer – Earth wears an emerald colored tunic that is off the shoulder with small sashes of fabric that wrap around her arms just below her shoulders. The hem falls to just below her hips in draping fabric.
- Second Layer – In the center of her chest is her brooch, which is gold, circular, and carved with the symbol of the Earth. From that brooch her collar is fastened. Her collar is chocolate brown with no stripes and drapes over her back a few inches below her shoulder blades. Over her tunic, she has a chocolate brown skirt that falls to her knees and is slit up both sides to give her maneuvering room. The skirt is very full with drapes and folds, hence the slits.
- Third Layer – Also called the “armor” layer. Also attached to Earth’s brooch in the center of her chest are two large metallic shoulder pieces. They are also off the shoulder and wrap around her arms to just above her elbows. The metal itself is chocolate brown etched with emerald green trim and the Earth symbol is emblazoned in emerald on both shoulders. Around her midsection, just below her breasts, is a corset also made of metal. The corset is chocolate brown in color trimmed with emerald and ties securely in the back.
- Gloves – These are Earth’s main weapons. Her gauntlets are made of emerald green metal and the symbol of Earth is etched on the back of her hand. The gauntlets extend to just below her elbow and cover her fingers as well with metal links. The palm is padded with leather to make it easier to make a fist.
- Leggings/Boots – Earth wears emerald green silk thigh high leggings. The tops can’t be seen unless Earth is fighting and her skirt is flying, something to which she is grateful. Also: they are held up by garters. And the garters can be seen if one looks carefully, to her eternal embarrassment. Her boots are made of lightweight brown metal that extend halfway up her shins. They aren’t adorned but are very sturdy, not heeled, and easy to fight in.
- Accessories – Earth has a tiara made of gold chain links studded with brilliant green emeralds that wraps around her head. Miraculously her hair doesn’t get tangled in it. The center gem is an emerald larger than the rest with the symbol of Earth illuminated in its facets. She also wears tiny gold hoop earrings studded with tiny emeralds. And although she will never admit it (ever, not even under pain of death) she does have an emerald green silk garter belt.
- *Note* All of Earth’s metal armor pieces are very lightweight and flexible, almost like water. They are strong and can withstand attacks but will break under heavy assault. However, whenever she transforms next, her armor will be repaired and in pristine condition once again.
- Sequence: Sailorearth whispers the name of the attack and holds out her hands, palms cupped upwards, as lavender blossoms fall from the sky. She stands or kneels next to the person she wants to aid and blows the petals onto their face. The petals brush against their skin and seem to sink into their skin.
- Effect: The petals she blows onto the target’s skin treat their injuries. If it’s the first attack used, and at peak power, the flowers can heal an open wound. If it’s used second though, this move will only help close gashes or ease the after effects of a spell. It won’t be able to eliminate the symptoms completely though. This may be used twice per henshin.
Tangling Roots
- Sequence: Sailorearth clenches her hand into a fist. Emerald green light, like twining vines, circles her clenched fist. She calls the name of the attack and slams her fist into the ground. There’s a pulse of energy, the ground rumbles, and thick wooden roots shoot from the ground and begin to wrap around the target.
- Effect: This attack can be used three times per henshin and is rather powerful. Earth can summon numerous vines and can trap up to three people but if she traps more people, the power of the attack is reduced. However, the vines are still just wood and can be burned, hacked at, and otherwise destroyed. They must be destroyed all at once though or Earth will just keep summoning them until her power is tapped out. The vines are also studded with small thorns that can prove very uncomfortable to the trapped targets.
