[ Catch Me As I Fall ]
[ The Basics ]
Name Meaning: "In Search of Strong Spirits."
Nick Name: She's occasionally called Rei, but only very close friends are allowed to do that.
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Sexuality: 100% Lesbian and proud of it! Though she's been known to flirt with men too...
[ Sweet Ruptured Light ]
[ Appearances ]
Hair: Irei has a mane of long, thick hair with a bit of a wavy and wispy quality to it, without it being outright wavy or curly. She has long bangs that end at about her chin, parted only slightly towards her right side. They often hang in her face, though she pulls them behind her ears while in court. Some tendrils hang over her shoulders, ending at her bust, while the rest falls down to her behind, where it is cut straight across. As for the color, her hair has a base color of white, but she has many thick streaks of black woven throughout her hair.
Face & Eyes: Irei has a mature, somewhat masculine face. With a strong, square jaw, a somewhat large nose and full lips, she is a very handsome woman. Her eyes are a bit on the narrow side and are a soft amber color, framed by pale white lashes (she puts on copious amounts of masquerade so she looks like she HAS eyelashes!). Irei’s eyebrows are black and are finely plucked to pristine perfection.
Body Type: BOOBS. Ahem. That’s what stands out the most about Irei is her large, magnificent breasts. They are quite large and very perky; and yes, they are real. After all, she ears enough money to give herself a bit of a boob lift every-so-often! Aside from this, she has a slight hourglass figure, though not as intense as her huge rack. She has defined muscles and stands at the height of 5’8”, which is somewhat tall for a Japanese woman. But again, who cares? It’s all about the boobs, and Irei is more then willing to show them off all she can.
Clothing Style: Pinstripes and dress-suits. Yes, Irei loves pinstripes. She almost always has some article of clothing that has pinstripes on them, and damn, she looks good while wearing them! Aside from that, she dresses in a mature, classy way; she wears nice suits, whether with skirts or pants, classy dress-shirts and snappy jackets. Though, when not in court, she is known to unbutton a lot and expose her very generous cleavage, though she has some class while working and trying to throw perverts into jail.
[ Don’t Turn Away ]
[ A Look Deeper ]
Personality: When Irei walks into a room, people take notice. No, not because of her “assets,” but more because she holds herself so strongly and with such confidence that she just commands attention. She struts her stuff, she knows she is good at what she does, and damnit, you better know too! While she isn’t a stuck-up snob about it (…well, maybe a little!), she’s confident and sexy and people just have to look at her when she walks into a room.
Above all else, Irei is a major flirt. She will flirt with pretty much everyone (except in a work-setting), whether they be male or female. Although she has only ever pursued relationships with women - and only cares to have a relationship with a woman - she does flirt with men frequently, mostly for the sake of flirting. Even when Irei is involved in a relationship with someone, she will still flirt; it’s not because she wishes to have affair after affair, it’s just the way she is. She could he married and deeply in love with someone and never dream of being with another person, and she would still flirt with other people. It’s something that puts people off to her, but to the few long-term relationships she has had, they mostly got used to it.
Beyond this, Irei is a very strong, mature and intelligent woman. She knows who she is as a person, and no matter what you do or say it will not deter her of her confidence, her love of herself, and what she holds true to her. When she is not flirting is when Irei’s true maturity really shows, and it is because of that that people at her office really look up to her. More over, she’s pretty damn smart and street-savvy, with a silver tongue to boot, which makes her a very dangerous prosecuting attorney to face in the court system. And she wouldn’t have it any other way!
Strengths: Flirting, silver tongue, intelligent, strong-willed, bleeds confidence, loyal and protective, easy-going.
Weaknesses: Flirts a wee bit TOO much, obsessive cleaner/OCD, perfectionist, workaholic, has a minor obsession with her car, stubborn, competitive, VERY sore loser.
Dreams: As Irei, she wants to throw every sick pervert into jail where they belong and to own several types of luxory cars (she's working on it!). But, as Kunzite, her first and foremost goal above all else is to find and protect her Princess at all costs...and, perhaps, have the chance she never had before due to their respective duties.
Fears: Failure, hospitals (especially needles!), her car breaking down (she cringes to imagine the price!), and failing to protect her Princess like she did in the past. Naturally, the failure of protection is her primary fear, but she doesn't voice it.

[ Present History ]
Sagasu Irei was born to two very wealthy people; though she was born as Matsumomo Irei. Her father, Katsuhito, was blue-blood with ties to the Royal Family of Japan, and her mother, Ayano, was a business woman by trade. Both of them came from old-rich families and had more then enough dough to spare, especially on their new baby girl.
Something wasn’t quite right when Kunzite was reborn; instead of being reborn as the same gender he was when he died, he was reborn as a girl. This was not a more of a willful thing as just something messed up on the rebirthing process. Of course, Irei would not learn of this fact until later on in this life.
Irei’s parents were always very busy with their work and social lives, often going to gatherings, flying to other places for the weekend, or just work in general. Because of this, Irei was mostly raised by nannies and nurse maids, and hardly ever really got to be with her parents, except during dinner time or when they decided to do things with their daughter.
Ever since she was four, her parents made it a habit to take her Takarazuka musicals every year; they would always go to one musical in the spring, and one in the winter. Aside from that, they also took her to other places; traditional Kabuki theater, Westernized Musicals, Opera, plays, the works. It was the rare instance that Irei was actually with her parents, so she loved these cultural outings and learn to enjoy such things from an early age.
Also from an early age, at least as far back as she can remember, Irei always heard voices and whispers in her head. Of course, as a child, she thought everyone heard these things and thought nothing of it, given her child-like innocence. It wasn’t until she was about 8 years old that she made a mention of it to her parents, who instantly took her to see a psychologist.
The psychologist could find nothing wrong with Irei. There wasn’t any unusual brain patterns, her EEGs always came up clean, and she had no reason to have a psychological disorder, including no family history. But, he prescribed her some stuff to try and take the voices away, but they didn’t. It was at that time that Irei figured out that this was a bad thing and decided to keep it to herself. She lied to her doctor and said the medication worked fine because she didn’t see auras or hear anything, and two years later, she was taken off of her medication and given a clean bill of health.
Aside from this, Irei had a very isolated childhood. She was home schooled by the best tutors you could find, and she rarely got out of the house. It just wasn’t proper for someone of her stature to interact with normal children. Sure, her parents made play dates for her with some other rich children, but they really weren’t her style. Too snotty. Somehow, she was raw and gritty, like a normal person, perhaps reflecting on her past life, or maybe she just saw the world beyond the rose-tinted glasses that everyone else of her stature held.
When she was 12 years old, her parents gave birth to a bouncing young boy. The family was ecstatic to have a male heir to their name, and her parents quickly began to smother their son with affection. It wasn’t long until Irei was pretty much shoved aside to make way for this splendor of a child, and saw her parents even less then what she saw before.
This is what drove Irei to always to more then her best, and to come out on top. But, no matter what she did to get her parents attention, no matter how grand or magnificent it was, her parents would return their attention quickly back to her brother. About the only time she and her parents really interacted was during the cultural outings; but even then, they would often talk about the play to their son instead of her. Irei quickly began to feel left out.
As soon as she was finished with her home schooling, Irei took tests to get into law school. She needed to get away from her home, from her parents, from that brat of a brother that she could no longer care for. As soon as she got in, Irei was out of there and never looked back. Not even the fortune that could be given to her name mattered to her. Her parents never really cared for her, and they just…lost interest once her brother was born. Why should she care about them?
Times were hard for a really long time for Irei, and she had to work three jobs just to pay for food and rent. She needed to save for a whole year just to continue to see the Takarazuka. Thankfully, since she cut off ties with her family, the school paid for most of her tuition so she wouldn’t need to kill herself working. All she did was work and go to school, without much of a social life. While she did date here and there, the last serious relationship she was in was broken off by the other person, saying she was too possessive and really only wanted to date her because of her name-sake. Irei then decided to change her surname to Sagasu, so as people would no longer associate her with her old family.
At the age of 20, Irei went off for law school and began to lose even more sleep due to working about the same, but studying twice as much as she did before. It was during this time that she began to have really weird dreams. About a Princess, a beautiful kingdom in the snow, and some important mission. For a while, she wrote it off as pulling all-nighters at least two nights a week, but they just kept on coming back. More and more detailed, more intense.
The more Irei thought about it, the more she began to realize that, her whole life, something was missing. It wasn’t the love of her parents, or a social life…it was that beautiful Princess she saw in her dreams. It was then that Irei decided she would find her, no matter what, and no matter how long it took for her to find her.
By 23, Irei finished law school, passed the bar and was hired by a criminal law-firm, working as an assistant to one of the main lawyers of the firm. Pay was steady, but poor, but it got the job done of paying rent and getting the food she needed. When she was 24, one year later, Irei was given her first solo trial case and she won, sending a sick serial pedophile molester to jail for 30 years. The firm was so pleased with her work that they began to assign her more and more cases, and one year later, she was doing so well with the firm and winning cases quickly and effectively that they made her own stand-alone lawyer, and insanely increased her pay.
Irei is now living the good life once again, and without her family in the picture, she is happier then she has ever been in her entire life. Though, lately, those visions of the Princess and the kingdom has only increased…maybe, now that she has a very well paying job, she can actually find her lost Princess. She can only hope.

[ Don’t Close Your Eyes ]
[ The Basics ]
Realm of Power: Spiritual Energy
Alignment: Earth, Earth, Earth. Kunzite is devoted to Earth and no one else; she won't even listen to Selenity or the other higher-powers, unless her princess commands her to.
Colors: Smoke Grey (#1D1D1D), Raspberry (#a2014e), White
Symbol: The symbol for the the spirit, which is a circle with a straight line drawn through it.
[ Return to Me Salvation ]
[ A Look Deeper ]
Uniform Description:
Weapon: The Animus Terra, “The Spirit of the Earth” in Latin. It is Kunzite’s weapon, a large broadsword that borders on being a great sword. It has the appearance of being composed of some kind of transparent crystal, though it is composed of a special metal that was once found on the moon. It has an iridescent, pink hue to it. The handle is long, about two feet, and is molded to fit Kunzie’s hands exactly. The hilt is then composed of several points of crystal, the main for, smoke grey crystals and the handle represent the four cardinal directions; between these rest pale pink crystals that point in the four secondary directions. Right where the crystals meet, a large opal stone is set in the very center. Surrounding the hilt is a circle made of white metal, driven right through the middle of the crystal spikes. It gives the appearance of her symbol in a way. The sword blade is made of that same, pale pink crystal that extends down for four feet, starting out wide and then gradually gaining a point at the tip. It is very strong and, despite appearances, is very sharp and fairly light.
Spiritus Sanctus
Battle Style: Kunzite is a very strong fighter in battle, with powerful charisma and leadership abilities. Couple that with her speed and skill with her sword, as well as her powerful attack, this makes her a powerful ally to have on the battlefield and a dangerous enemy to make. At times, Kunzite can be rather rash when it comes to fighting, often acting more on her instinct then upon strategy. She would even directly disobey an order from her Princess if her mind is set on something, much to Earth’s dismay. Commonly, she looks before she leaps, but sometimes the heat of battle gets to her. But, she usually knows what she's doing...most of the time.
Warrior Personality: Irei’s lax and easy-going nature pretty much erases once Kunzite comes out. Kunzite is a stubborn, straight-laced and very serious individual. Many people would even consider her to be a hardass most of the time. She is protective to the max, extremely stubborn and difficult to get her mind changed on something, and very, very arrogant about her abilities in combat. She hardly cracks a smile, has no sense of humor, and takes everything very seriously. After all, their lives are on the line; so you better focus on what needs to be done or your life is as good as gone.
The more softer side of Kunzite is her loyalty and willingness to protect her Princess. She would do anything for them and for their sake, especially in Sailorearth’s case, even if her life were to be forfeit, so be it. Yes, she does take her job incredibly seriously, and usually doesn’t lighten up into her Irei side until the battle is over and done. Then she’ll flirt around, but only if the coast is clear.

[ The Story of the Past ]
Kunzite was born to a poor family on Earth, near the Kingdom of Elysium, as a man. His parents were nothing but peasant farmers, earning their keep by supplying their village and the Kingdom with their yearly harvest of grain and milk. He was the eldest of six other children, not including those that died early; he lost two sisters early on, one of them dying shortly after birth, and a younger brother as well. Needless to say, home life was very interesting with so many mouths to feed, and soon all of the children were sent out to get jobs, even the poorest paying in the town, just so they could support their brothers and sisters. Their parents, alone, could not earn enough to support all of the children completely, given their small farm.
From an early age, Kunzite was different from the other children. He heard voices in his head, never more then a whisper, never able to find out what it was. Some people in the village claimed he was cursed; others revered him for hearing the voices of the Gods around him.
When he turned 8, the people of the village were somewhat afraid of Kunzite, as he was able to hear these…strange voices and was able to somehow manipulate reality around him. Those that believed he was a god-send quickly rebuked their feelings, and at the age of 9, he would either have to leave the village, or they would burn his entire family alive for birthing a Warlock. So, without any other choice in the matter, Kunzite left his village to try and find his way in the world.
Unfortunately, things only got worse from then out. While he never spoke the voices publicly, who would house a 9 year old boy of questionable origin? More over, who would give him work? He ended up being a beggar on the streets, amounting to nothing more then scrawling the ground at the market for scraps of food, or trying to pity rich politicians out of their money. The world outside of his dark affairs didn’t seem to matter to a boy who was just barely surviving. Stealing and looting. It wouldn’t be long until the streets fully consumed Kunzite, leaving him to be torn asunder by a cruel world…
That is, until she appeared.
He was left on the streets after getting beaten by a local pub owner, catching the boy digging through the trash for some food; left to die, all alone in an unforgiving world with voices, whispering all around him. Some human, some not. It was when she came, almost like a guardian angel, touching his shoulder and asking if he was alright.
It was the young Princess Earth, who had come to that town on a tour with her family. The very moment Kunzite looked into those blue-grey eyes, it almost felt like an angel had come down from heaven to save him from this madness, the solitude. Although she was scolded for trying to interact with a peasant of a boy, Earth was persistent on bringing the poor lad back to the Castle with her, clean him up, and save him from this horrible life he must have been leading.
And like that, Kunzite was swept up from a world of utmost poverty and into a world of the privileged. It was there that it was decided what his power was; the ability to hear and feel the spirits of the earth, anything and everything’s energy source. Now, he was no longer branded as a child born of Witchcraft, but of someone with a unique gift and a pure heart, despite what had happened to him. He would become the Princesses Guardian, sworn to always protect Earth no matter what the cost.
From that day forward Kunzite was always with his angel, swearing to himself that he would protect her with the life she had saved. As he grew, he was trained in the art of warfare, protection, and learning how to use his powers to protect his Princess. By the time he was 18, he became her foremost protector and followed her always, forever at her side.
Kunzite remained very protective of his Princess during her visits to the Moon Kingdom. He was even a little leery of her being so chummy with Selenity, since the two Kingdoms never really got along that well. How would they know if Selenity was really gathering secrets so she could destroy the Earth Kingdom?! What about her own Senshi? They were stronger and vastly poor Kunzite. Should she turn on them, no one could defend Earth properly! All of this fretting was done behind a mask of indifference, but in truth, Kunzite was deeply concerned for his Princess’ safety every time they visited that distant Kingdom.
Then the rumors started to spread.
He had always known that she was close to Selenity, and Selenity’s closest guard, Uranus. When rumors began to spread about the trio having a love affair, Kunzite was absolutely disgusted and - though he would never admit this - incredibly jealous. Given how close he was with Earth, he knew that she saw Selenity as a sister and nothing more then that. How could anyone think such a thing?! His Princess was far better then that Satellite-Dwelling Snob! With that, he ushered the Princess back to the blue Planet they came from. He needed to protect her from the extremists. And it would be much easier to protect her on their own turf.
Earth only visited the Moon Kingdom on business; she was still technically apart of the Moon Court, despite the accusations to her name. Kunzite was shocked and horrified to find a courtier had been murdered within the Palace walls, and he quickly ushered Earth back to their home. This was not a time for them to investigate; it was a time for the Great Sages to try and figure out what went wrong, and who had done it. Everyone else needed to be protected, especially Earth.
Their stay was short lived, however.
A massive battle had broken out on the Moon Kingdom just hours after they had left. Strange Senshi were claiming to be the true heirs to the various planetary thrones, and Kunzite followed Earth to the Moon Kingdom to fight this unknown foe. It would be best if he stuck by her, to protect her and make sure that she remained safe during this horrid affair. He was confused by her lack of a counterpart, but continued to fight at her side regardless.
The war was horrible. Left and right, there were enemies everywhere, but Kunzite remained close to his Princess and sliced through anything that got in the way.
During the battle, he got separated from his Princess by a group of people, swearing that this was all their fault. Kunzite lost sight of her for a while, constantly calling out her name, trying to find her.
Kunzite cleaved his way through the enemies, desperate to find his Princess before harm came to her. As long as Earth was safe, he would kill anyone who stood in the way. Even Selenity herself. Kunzite had to assure that Earth lived, even if it meant that his own life was to be forfeit. He plunged into the fray of enemies, wildly slashing his sword, not even noticing as their own weapons dug into his flesh and tore his body apart. The pain didn’t matter. Just as long as she remained safe…
With a final sword swing, Kunzite brought down the last of that group, his hands no longer able to carry the blade, it crashing to the ground. He collapsed face first into the bloody soil, breathing heavily. His entire body had been cut to ribbons, and he would not live for much longer; and he had failed. His Princess was nowhere to be seen around him, no doubt dead on the field. He had utterly failed in his mission to protect her, and that fact alone killed him as surly as the wounds he recived.
“Princess…I'm...so sorry…” He managed to whisper before blood filled his lungs, and he breathed his last breath.

[ A Look Deeper ]
Uniform Description:
- Neck: Kunzite wears a black cord wrapped around her neck several times, with an Earth symbol charm hanging from it. It usually dangles right above or between her cleavage.
- Jacket: Kunzite has a smoke gray, tight leather vest with a broad collar to it, and it's usually unzipped to the point where she shows off a generous amount of décolletage. It is lined with soft raspberry suede, and ends at her hips. The vest has black suede sleeves attached, which are much baggier and lined with raspberry lining. She usually wears them rolled up past her elbows. Under her vest she has a smoke grey lace shirt, which usually sticks up over half of her bust.
- Skirt: Kunzite's skirt is made of smoke gray suede and has a very, very high slit do it. It's split up her left side and shows off a gratuitous amount of leg, and the slit is lined in raspberry. Kunzite has a high-cut black lacy thong on, which is seen somewhat frequently due to her battle style.
- Legs: Much like her Princess, Kunzite has a raspberry silk garter with a belt on. The garters hold up smoke grey lacy stockings, but unlike her Princess, she likes showing them off (and doesn't have a choice, given how high her skirt slits!). She wears thigh-high white boots over them as well, with a 2 1/2 inch clunky heel.
- Arms: Kunzite wears a pair of white leather gloves with the fingers cut off, though the top is hidden by her only piece of armor. She has simple smoke grey arm guards on, which reach from just below her elbow to rest over the palms of her hands.

- Sequence: “Holy Spirit.” Drawing the Animus Terra, Kunzite holds it flat before her, whispering “Spiritus.” White energy begins to glow along the blade as she traces her fingers along the flat, up towards the tip. Once her fingers reach the tip, her eyes snap open and she swings her blade around, pointing it towards the ground. Shouting “Sanctus,” she drives the blade into the ground below her, falling onto one knee, holding onto the hilt of the sword as if in prayer. The energy around the sword releases around her.
- Effect: Tapping into the spiritual energy surrounding her, Kunzite releases a cyclone of this energy from her body, engulfing any living thing that happens to be around her. It will not effect anything without life and without a soul; meaning a park bench and tree would not be affected, but an enemy or a squirrel would be. The higher concentration of spiritual energy around her, the stronger the attack is and the farther it spreads. At the weakest, it only spirals maybe five feet from her body, while at the most it could go upwards of ten to fifteen yards from her. Due to her ability to sense this energy, Kunzite often finds the opportune point to unleash this attack.
Passive Abilities:
- I See Dead People: Pretty self explanatory. Most of this is actually whispers that Irei hears from the past, though she can and does see physical manifestations of ghosts, spirits or other energies.
- Aura Reader: Something Irei uses far more frequently is that she can see someone's aura. This is especially useful as she can tell someone's emotions by looking at them, and uses this frequently when in court to see if someone is lying to her or not. She keeps this a secret, though!
